    14 Weeks Post Op

Hey Pete what's up? Like everyone else say's don't worry about 1 pound. Sometimes I would go up 4 to 6 pounds and then it would drop right back off. The key is not to weight yourself so much. Even though your not coming down in weight you slimming in size. Also if your lifting weights that will add to your weight. So just keep up the good work and you'll see that scale weight start to drop in no time...
  3. Hey man congrats on crack the 100 pound mark. I'm about 4 months post OP and it seems like I've been stuck here at a 40lbs weight loss. Let me know what you do in your routine, it might help me to lose more... Once again congrats!

    Hey Everyone

Hey Steph, I'm a follow Marylander and I had the Surgery in August.Don't worry about a thing the Surgery is the easy part. Once they gave me the pill to help me sleep, the next thing I remember was waking up in the recovery room. Being dissapline to the diet after the surgery is where the challege begins but you can do it...K.I.T.

    Esophageal spasms???

Just got my first fill. I have the same problem. It seems like, everytime I drink something, liquid goes down and air comes up. It's very uncomfortable. I also have a 10cc band. Origanally I had 1.3cc in at surgery and my doc put 4cc in this time. It's tight but foods and liquids past. Believe it or not but food goes down better than liquids...

    Help/Encouragement needed!

I'm so sorry that everything isn't working out for you. Are they putting enough saline in your band to give you restriction? Also what are you eating and have you been exercising? Maybe the band isn't the best option for you. You might want to look into the gastric sleeve. Sorry.

    Self-Pay Lapband....

I went to Calexico Mexico to have my surgery with Dr. Alberto Aceves. Everything far exceeded my expectation for my surgery in Mexico. The total cost was $7500 including my flight to and from San Diego, pre-op & post-op test, 1 night hotel stay two night hospital stay and the surgery. I also went to the Dentist while in Mexico got two cavities fixed, teeth cleaned and whiten for 300 bucks or 3000 pesos which ever way you look at it...
  12. Yes he is the best. Just curious why are you getting the band removed.
  13. A+ for Dr. Alberto Aceves and his staff in Calexico, Mexico. I had my surgery with Dr. Aceves on August the 30th and everything was wonderful. When I arrived the patient coordinator Yolonda had all of my pre-op test lined up and ready. Then after all of my test were complete I met with Dr. Aceves and he explained everything about the surgery the before and after and answered any question I had. Then from there it was to the "Lucerna" the hotel where I stayed the night before the surgery. The hotel was very nice and had 3 restaurants there I had my "last supper", so to speak. Later on Dr. Campos came in and showed the band and went into detail about the band and the surgery. The next day I went for surgery, I was the first patient that day. I went in about 10:00am and I was up and walking around a little after 12:00pm. I don't remember anything from the surgery and Dr. Aceves also fixed a Hiatal Hernia that I didn't even know I had. The nursing staff was so helpful and right on time with my meds 24/7. Everyone was so nice and the hospital was clean and well maintained. Dr. Campos also recommended a Dentist for me on Sunday, Dr. Roberto and Dr.Laura. They too did a wonderful job on my teeth for a inexpensive price. I was so pleased by everything and if you have any doubts about Dr. Aceves I'm here to tell you, you don't have to worry about a thing. One more thing I went by myself to Mexico and everything was well....I cant say enough about how good the care was, the surgery and the Denistry.....A++.

    Port Incision

Your ok, the oozing is fat most of the time from the surgery it gets burned or melts from the heat of the incision instruments. If you get a fever or it starts to smell then I would get some attention. Your only two weeks out your still gonna have some soreness but it should be deminishing day by day...Congrats on your band..
  15. It seems that everyone has had their surgery just about. I'm scheduled for August 30th with Dr. Aceves in Mexicali....anyone else going to have thier surgery the same day?????I'm ready.
