Revision to RNY
othella2 replied to Sam.is.sassy's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
So what I don't understand is do people get a revision because the first one didn't work or because a few years passed? Sent from my Moto E (4) using BariatricPal mobile app -
Well if it's still early on for you and this is causing a big issue you you I would say no another surgeon because your not feeling ok worth his requirements. Sent from my Moto E (4) using BariatricPal mobile app

That has nothing to don't have anything to do with the surgery. Ask your insurance what you need to do and show the surgeon. Sent from my Moto E (4) using BariatricPal mobile app

weird question
othella2 replied to Mariella Josphef's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You could have ripped open you stomach. It's not healed at all. Don't mess up what you have worked so hard for. Good luck. Sent from my Moto E (4) using BariatricPal mobile app -
What's In Your Hospital Bag?
othella2 replied to d258's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had lotion, body soap, change of clothes for 2 days just in case I had to stay an extra day, and a good book for when I couldn't sleep at night. You might want to bring some good house shoes to walk in. Sent from my Moto E (4) using BariatricPal mobile app -
eating after one week of Gastric sleeve
othella2 replied to MaryNa's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Good catch ..... Sent from my Moto E (4) using BariatricPal mobile app -
So as most of you know I had me sleeve done 3-20-19. This was the best decision I made for myself. Since my surgery I have only lost 25 lbs. I have been doing everything they have asked, just can't lose it. I work out, get my protein and water. I'm not gaining just don't know what else to do. I'm so scary this will not work for me after I went through a year and a half working for it. The one day of the week that I don't go to the gym I feel guilty about it At first I was thinking this is a stall but come on I'm in week 9. I just don't know what to do anymore, hoping this wasn't a waste of time. Sent from my Moto E (4) using BariatricPal mobile app

Hello. This question is mainly for the women in the group. As I lose this weight I have noticed my butt is leaving also. What exercises are you guys doing to save your butt?? Sent from my Moto E (4) using BariatricPal mobile app

That was my issue, but for some people they don't have trouble with the evaluation. That is of you don't get a quack. Sent from my Moto E (4) using BariatricPal mobile app

Like you I was diagnosed with bipolar years ago. The mental evaluation is want pushed my surgery back 5 months. So to move things along I did what my husband told me to do. I just went in played like I was happy and agreed with everything they said. Made sure I was early to all the appointments and answered the phq9 and gad7 like I had no worries. It's dumb that they think just because you want to help yourself get healthier something is wrong with you. Good luck. The only advice I can give you is do not go in there and spill your guts because they use it as a reason to say no or push thing back even more. Sent from my Moto E (4) using BariatricPal mobile app

I take multivitamin 2 a day that has iron and vitamin d, along with calcium citrate twice a day. Mine have to be spaced out at least 2 hours from each other. Sent from my Moto E (4) using BariatricPal mobile app

1 Month Post-Op Update
othella2 replied to LoLo130's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Look at how much you have lost in a minute month. Then think about how much more you could have lost without the carbs. Do you have anyone there to help you get through this? Believe me I know it's hard, but when you hit a stall like I did for a month your going to have to be able to push through alone or not. You can do this!!! I just downed a medium sized bowl of fruit salad in one sitting, how is this possible?!
othella2 replied to Brotherman Bill's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
That's alot of fruit. I'm almost 10 weeks out and still have trouble with my protein intake because I'm full so fast. 4 oz is hard for me to get down at once. I downloaded biartastic app. With that said how are you doing with your daily vitamins?? Sent from my Moto E (4) using BariatricPal mobile app -
Thanks everyone for the post to help with how I'm feeling. I will try to trust the process more. Just a hard week and it's only Wednesday [emoji21]. Sent from my Moto E (4) using BariatricPal mobile app

I have came across post like this but as you know this is a very sensitive issue with all of us. I needed to vent about my situation and I did. It doesn't matter how many post I have read that may be going through the same thing, that does not mean I can not voice what I am feeling due to this huge change in my life.
