I was approved by insurance!!! I will be having the roux en y. I have 3 pre-op classes to complete & should know my surgery date any time between December 5-12.
I have struggled with being overweight my entire life. I've tried Weight Watchers several times over the years, plus a dozen other fad diets, and all of them seem promising, but then ultimately fail for me. I am hoping the surgery will allow me to live a better life by making it easier to do the things I struggle with now. I am a Type 1 diabetic and I think the surgery will drastically change the way I live with T1D & I am very excited about that.
I found Bariatric Pal online when I was researching weight loss surgery & it seems like such a good place to meet new friends who are going through the same situation!
