    Welcome to my journey toward being able to walk again! As you can see in the pictures I am the lady that can hardly stand let alone walk. I use 2 canes to hobble real short distances and a scooter to do anything in the community.

  1. When I read of other peoples pre and post non weight loss surgeries and medical problem they have had I am so grateful for the health that I did have despite being obese most of my life. The WLS, hernia repair and gallbladder removal all at the same time was the first surgery I ever had and I am 60 years old.

      I guess Grandmother was right "when she said, Make the most of what you have and the least of what you haven't". Look around and see the misery of other, then we can realize just how blessed we are.--especially us ol' gals. :)

      I never knew my Grandmothers or Grandfathers but my Mom was the one who taught me to be grateful for what we had.

      Yes I was very lucky not to have had the diseased gallbladder or hernia explode. I had them for at least a year before the

      surgeon was willing to remove and repair them when he did the weight loss surgery.
