Hi everyone. My name is Michelle and I'm scheduled for the DS on April 5th. I am 5 foot tall and weigh 192. I have high blood pressure and I'm on 3 different types of medication and my BP is still not controlled. Its the bottom number they cant control. I also have sleep apnea, borderline diabetic and border line high cholesterol. My cardiologist says even an extra 30 lbs on a person my height is alot of pressure on my heart. I'm doing the 1 week pre diet right now and will lose weight this week before surgery. There are so many people who dont agree with me and feel I dont need to be doing this. I try and explain its for medical reasons. I recently turned 50 and I have a family history of early deaths. My mom and sister both died at 57. I may not need to lose a lot but I do need to lose and keep it off. I'm really scared because I dont want to be super skinny I just want to be healthy. Is there anyone else out there in the same boat as me? Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app
