I have it as well. I take levothyroxine and it keeps levels barely in range. Hair loss has been areal beach.

I was thinking the same about Mrs ss. I normally have to stay at 1200 calories and under to maintain and not gain. Barely able to keep losing at 600 calories per day.

I totally understand the depression. That will ease up some soon hopefully. Hormones are on a rampage right now. this is what has helped me to decipher real from head hunger. If you have real hunger you will eat anything. With head hunger you only want certain foods. When you feel hungry think hard about that. Drinking a lot of fluid when I feel hungry helps too. Once you get used to eating just a few times per day In smaller amounts it will become habit and much less of a struggle for you.

You should be close to getting bloodwork done to check your vitamin and mineral levels.there maybe something that is low and adjustments to be made. First bloodwork is normally at 3 months out. Hoping that you keep up with daily vitamins. Very important to do this for life.

Right. The one that I directed you to is one capsule with everything inside. this one https://store.bariatricpal.com/products/bariatricpal-multivitamin-one-1-per-day-bariatric-capsules-yearly-subscription

-
Yes. There are several “one capsule per day” options here. If you look up to the top of this page you will see one of them there. click on the green box to view it.

I think that you should give your dr a call in the morning. I wasn’t allowed to lift over 10 pounds until 2 months out. Hopefully you will be fine since you are so close. Since you felt some pulling and pain you should call dr to be sure.

We are rooting for you! Please keep us posted.

Exactly where I was before revising to bypass. I would wake up with acidic fluid flowing from nose and mouth. Very, very painful indeed. btw- I am a girl -
Rapid weight loss and body hardware

Yes you aren’t completely upside down but tilted towards being upside down. Gravity helps to move and keep organs out of the way. -
Rapid weight loss and body hardware
Losingit2018 replied to TattooedSeaStar's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I don’t have hardware but I have had a failed back surgery. I am bone on bone at L3/L4 i had a severe increase in pain at that area post bypass. They hang you upside down on a table during surgery. My surgery was 5.5 hours long. I am thinking that is what aggravated my back. I can’t normally even lay flat on my back while conscious. My pain is getting better each week I get out from surgery. I hope that the same happens for you. -
No. Clear means translucent.if you can’t see through it isn’t clear. You could drink the clear protein waters though.

Possible Revision
Losingit2018 replied to kglowins's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
It was not right away for me. It gradually crept up on me about 1 year after surgery. I was on omneprazole so that may have kept it at bay. I had never had a single instance of gerd before my sleeve. -

So sorry it did not work for you. Luckily this is not very common when revising to full bypass. Which surgery did you revise to? -
Should I order Chinese food
Losingit2018 replied to Sheri416's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I think it would be ok. You can’t be sure what they are cooking it in but I think those would be good choices. I went to a Chinese Buffet with my family and had stir fried veggies and chicken. -
Pre op weight loss confusion
Losingit2018 replied to avillemure93's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My surgery team submitted my starting weight and BMI to the insurance company with my first surgery. I was worried about losing too much weight as well when I first started my 6 month supervised weight loss. I specifically asked my surgeon if it would hurt me as far as getting approval and I was told no because they use starting weight. Not sure why yours does it differently. maybe check an online calculator to see how many calories you need to have in order to maintain where you are now. Good luck! -
Most hotels here have a small microwave and mini fridge in the room. If you don’t have one already maybe you should get a card from the bp store here identifying you as a wls patient. I have never had a problem getting restaurants to honor them and give me child prices at buffet and/ or order from the kids menu.

Throwing up blood after 6 months
Losingit2018 replied to Luba's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Please go to the er NOW!! Do not wait with this. Throwing up blood is very serious. If you don’t have someone to take you please call an ambulance. please update us when you are able to do so. I will be keeping you in my thoughts and praying for a good outcome. it is disturbing that your dr said it’s normal and did not check you out to see what was going on. I do hope that you head to the er and have them take a look. Throwing up blood is never normal. -
Possible Revision
Losingit2018 replied to kglowins's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
Yeah I have never experienced anything like the gerd that I had before revision. I would have acidic fluid streaming from my nose and mouth. Was so bad a few times that I lost my voice. I guess surgeons are all different about ppis. Mine is against them completely. i was so nervous about the ppis that I was supposed to take them for 3 weeks after revision. I didn’t experience any gerd symptoms so I just didn’t take them. I had already been on them for more than 1 year after my sleeve surgery. -
It is possible to find a new bariatric surgeon where you live now. I moved 250 miles after my first surgery and got a new surgeon as soon as I moved. You need one to keep track of your yearly bloodwork. Plus if you end up with any complications you will want one that is familiar with you.

For those who use Patch MD
Losingit2018 replied to Lovin2lose's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
There are certain vitamins that can’t be absorbed through the skin. I personally would not use the patches. -
I experienced some pain for the first few days. I was given pain meds to help control it though. The pain doesn’t last long and the surgery is well worth it!
