Trouble getting approved for revision
Losingit2018 replied to follmerpa's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
Find another dr. If you are able to find one that does revision to ds/Sadi/sips it may be your best bet. Do t give up on the word of just one dr. -
There is an entire slow loser club here at this forum that you don’t hear from as much. People are way more likely to post good news than bad. I too am a slow loser but will not give up the fight

I'm so upset, I'm a slow loser
Losingit2018 replied to Panda333's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It may seem like everyone on this board loses fast but I assure you that is not the case. Some may lose faster than others but I doubt most average out 10 pounds per week. Initial weight may go quickly but it also slows way down after the first month. From my experience. 15 pounds per month is not bad at all! Hang in there and keep doing what you are doing. Slow and steady wins the race. -
This^^^^^ best to measure and not get overfilled. Once you are too full it is a very miserable feeling.

Glad to hear that they ruled that out. It does get scary when we have unexplained pain post op. Always better to be checked out to be sure. -
A Tale of Two Arm Lifts (rs & ms.sss)

I was backed up for 6 days post wls. The suppository did nothing. The enema worked well. Good luck! -
So happy with weightloss but exhausted
Losingit2018 replied to Sandyyy's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
There are many needed vitamins that can’t be absorbed through the skin. The patches should be done away with imho. Can’t believe a surgeon is selling them to patients. Crazy. -

Chest ache 5 weeks post op

Hopefully it is just a matter of eating a little too much. I religiously measure my food every time now. Fingers crossed. -
Chest ache 5 weeks post op
Losingit2018 replied to Beaconkitty's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
So sorry to hear this. Please keep us posted on the diagnosis. Wishing you the best outcome. I had a revision to bypass 5 weeks ago. I ate too much by maybe a tablespoon Christmas Eve. I experienced the same as you but after getting sick with foamies, it did go away. -
Best tasting protein drink/powder
Losingit2018 replied to Danielleh's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I loved the premier strawberry after I had my sleeve surgery. Now I can’t drink it. The strawberry was discontinued for several months and I think that they changed the recipe. I am able to tolerate the Peaches and Cream. It is darn convenient to have the premade shakes. Premier just came out with a Cafe Latte flavor ( available at Walmart online) that is pretty good as well. It does contain as much caffeine as acup of coffee though. -
A good plan here https://www.med.umich.edu/bariatricsurgery/resources/Post-op-Diet-Sleeve.pdf

Best tasting protein drink/powder
Losingit2018 replied to Danielleh's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Here they are. https://store.bariatricpal.com/products/syntrax-nectar-protein-powder-trial-sizes-17-flavors-to-choose-from?vec=eyJ2ZVRwIjoiRk9SVU0iLCJ2clRwIjoiTU9TVF9QT1BVTEFSIiwidnJJcCI6IjMifQ%3D%3D -
Yes I understand that different drs have different plans. I am surprised that they are starting you so early on basically empty carbs though.

Sounds like you are doing well. Eat slowly putting fork down between bites. Pay attention to your body and look for your full signal. You want to stop just before full. Trust me when I tell you that you do not want to eat more than your pouch can hold. It would be painful and most likely make you sick. Everyones signal is different. Some sneeze, some hiccup, etc be careful until you figure out yours and good luck! Yeah i I don’t think that wheat thins would be considered a soft food. Best to stay away from sliders that add calories and don’t fill you up.

Best tasting protein drink/powder

Syntrax Nectar. Hands down. No weird protein aftertaste. My fave is chocolate truffle. The bp store here offers a sample variety pack as well. -
Anyone have thyroid issues?
Losingit2018 replied to cutebutcrzy's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am on thyroid meds but haven’t had any issues with them. Have you asked your surgeon about this? He should be a good source of info as to whether this will slow your initial weight loss down. Good luck! -
Need help with food stuck in pouch
Losingit2018 replied to Ninja-slash-nerd's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Hopefully they were canned or puréed since the op mentioned being on the puréed diet. -
Yes I have been taking them for years. Continued with them last year with my sleeve and now with my bypass as well.

Thinking its gas or constipation
Losingit2018 replied to Nelly631's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Depending on how long you have been constipated an enema may work best and quicker -
Thinking its gas or constipation
Losingit2018 replied to Nelly631's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Have you tried anything for the constipation? I have been allowed milk of magnesia, dulcolax, smooth move tea and I take miralax every day
