Hi. I am very new to this. I am not sure if iam doing this right. But i hope i can find so support out there. I live in bath maine. I just started my journey in march 26 2008. I am going through the maine medical center bariatric surgery program. There is a long waiting period 6 to 12 months to see the nutriction. You have to go thru approved social worker. Which i have going for about 12 weeks all together. My social worker says that i am doing great progress. I have done all her home work and some of my own work on the side. I work so hard . The excitment is going away. I feel that my socila worker is just seeing me for the money. I can't say that she hasn't worked. I just wish she would send a letter to the bariatriccenter to let thm know my progress. I just want this surgery so i can go on with my life. I have read about some members that get their refrral and a week later they are baned. I just don't get it. I know that i am going about it the right way , but how much longer do i have to wait? Has any body else have to wait this long? I know that i sound like i am winning. I need to know if any body feels this way.
