Almost 5 weeks out and feeling constantly nauseous
LacyLacy3 replied to iliana00000's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
My surgery was 3/18 and yes I've been experiencing the same thing. I've started on soft foods and cannot tolerate much. I stick to shakes, creamed soups with milk, yogurt and chicken salad. I vomit almost everything else up. It's really hard to eat anything honestly. I've had nausea lately also, mostly in the morning. My energy is starting to get a little better. I get very dizzy when I stand up and now I'm getting a really bad fluttering in my chest. It has been getting better - very sloooowly though lol. I just keep reminding myself to be patient. -
I had gastric sleeve done on 3/18/19. I am having a hard time getting in the 60 grams of protein and 64 Oz of water daily. I'm supposed to be on pureed foods. I still have to do liquids a lot though. I'm trying really hard but I can only get so much liquid or food down before my stomach gets upset or I vomit it back up. Is this common right after surgery? Has anyone else had the same problems? Any tip or tricks to meeting my daily requirements? Thank you!!

I've definitely going to try the sugar free Popsicles too!

I usually throw up some of the food and some white foam with it. I think it could be me trying to eat too fast. I was a fast eater also. I just want to eat and get it over with lol. Also my Dr reminded me not to try to eat more than 2 Oz at a time. This could be the problem too. I love buying Crystal lite packets for my water also. I've been getting about 50 Oz of just water in the last couple days so it's progress. Thank you so much for your comments and help! 😊 I know it's gonna take a while for me to adjust.

How much water to drink?
LacyLacy3 replied to StarFlower87's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
That's awesome! I am 10 days after surgery and I can't get that much water down - getting close though. I sip and sip all day but it's still a challenge for me. -
I had mine on March 18th, 2019. I am doing pretty good so far. The nausea the first day or 2 after surgery was HORRIBLE! It did get better though. Only real problems I am having right now is eating/drinking enough water. I can only tolerate liquids right now and sometimes even that's hard to keep down.
