So I have 8 days until surgery and it's starting to feel sooooo real. Im nervous, excited, happy, and terrified all rolled into one big ball of nerves. This liquid diet is way easier than I expected it to be though so that makes a difference.

You're going the day before me I'm half freaking out and half ready to get this show on the road lol. How has your liquid diet been overall? I actually dont mind it at all now surprisingly lol

No ma'am. I have Arkansas Medicaid. They are terrible but I'm okay with them at least for the time being until my surgery is over lol

So yesterday was day 4 of my liquid diet and I took a tiny nibble of my daughters bbq chicken. I will not make that mistake again. I had so much gas and upset stomach just from that tiny bite that it will forever remind me of how God awful it is to not stick to the plan. Today is day 5 and just bought me some powerade zero and had my breakfast of my chocolate protein shake.

Day 3 of this liquid diet DONE! Only 11 more days until surgery!!

Okay so I had my labs done yesterday and they did the oxygen one and I already got my results online but idk what to make of them. It seems I'm barely out of range for a few. Anyone know if they will still do surgery or if this is just something I'm stressing over for nothing.

Day 2 of this liquid diet down. Just 12 more to go lol. It's not near as bad as I thought it was going to be. Yeah it sucks but I'm making it.

I didnt even think to bring it up. I live on the outskirts of town and from my house to the hospital ends up being about an hour and 13 minute drive. Are you getting super excited?! Not much longer.

I totally get that. In my opinion, having a medical team you are comfortable with and trust is the biggest part of this process. I live about an hour and 15 minutes from my surgeons office.

My surgeon says that they leave all wls patients for 2 days to monitor them. The hospital is going to call me the day Friday before surgery to tell me what time to be there, which I assume will also be early in the AM. My husband is going to drive me the day of and my mom is staying with my girls for a few days since he has to work. I was hoping my husband would be able to take off for a few days to help me around the house and with the kiddos but he cant. He'll be off work day of surgery and the day after to take care of the kids while I'm in the hospital. I'm super excited though. Its finally starting to feel real.

That's the most exciting part. The victories that involve our babies! My daughters are 6 and 3. I haven't mentioned my surgery to them but I plan to have a talk with them beforehand since we'll be away from each other while I'm in the hospital. How many days do you have to be in the hospital? I only have to be there for a day as long as there are no issues. I have to check in at 530 the morning of surgery. My parents are driving me so that my husband and 2 younger kids can sleep in. I'm bringing my 9 year old because he said he wants to be there.

I had the sleeve done in 2015, 4 months after having my 2nd child and my starting weight was 282 after vsg I got down to 197 lbs and started getting terrible acid reflux and then after my 2nd year I started regaining and now I'm currently at 229 lbs. Because of GERD I'm having revision to bypass on June 17th and I'm hoping for relief and to lose everything I regained and some! I'm currently on day 2 my pre-op diet and it's harder than I remember it being before my sleeve. I just need to get my mind on track. Welcome darlin!!! Your surgery is 2 days before mine. I started my liquid diet today and at first it was MISERABLE but since it's close to bedtime it isnt so bad. How old are your babies? I have 2 boys (9 &5) and a 2 year old little girl. I've explained surgery to the older 2 and my 9 year old is super excited because he knows that means I won't feel like death trying to play with him.

So I started my liquid diet today and I'm happy to say that even though it's soooo hard to see my kids eat, I'm staying focused. I keep reminding myself that I have worked my ass off for this and this is what I want.

I'm totally jealous lol. I get shakes for every meal and sugar free jello or pudding and popsicles for snacks. Broth too.

HAPPY TUESDAY FAMILY!!!! So tomorrow I start my liquid diet and I'm dreading it lol. Tonight for dinner I had sushi and it was like saying goodbye to my best friend. I can't wait to start my road to surgery and to be on the losers bench. For our siblings that have already went into surgery, how are yall feeling?

Lol I love old Mgbs and have owned a few so it just seems to fit Mbgs are pretty cars.

I use their powder and I got some samples from the sample pack but I haven't tried them yet. Chewing pills has always made me sick but liquid meds are worse. I will for sure have to check out their specials and stuff. Thank you so much love.

I get it completely lmao. I'm a control freak when it comes to something that is going to directly affect my family and I. I also have a strong personality so those 2 make me one hell of a list making, no bs taking, and stubborn southern belle so to speak lmao.
