To all of our family that recently had surgery, I hope you all are having good recoveries and to those with surgery coming up, you got this!!! All of the fear and doubt with dissipate. I'm finally to a point of acceptance of what is to come.

So I'm still preop until Wednesday but my aunt did this years ago. I noticed that certain places we ate at would have healthy options (grilled chicken and broccoli/green beans. Etc) she would pick something healthy and would indulge in conversations as she ate to keep from eating too fast or too much. Weddings could be a bit trickier though because I know that's an occasion where cake is a centerpiece. Omg btw Chik fil a has grilled chicken nugget meals that you can get veggies with. That's my fav thing lol

So I literally just noticed on my paperwork that my liquid diet was only supposed to be 10 days lmao. Surgery is Wednesday and I will be at day 15 lol. My goodness. I could have had one last piece of cheese cake jk lol

That's what our nutritionist told us. She said anything over 120 grams is pushing your kidneys too hard and can cause kidney failure or damage.

Bone broth made my life so much better lol

I'm on the liquid diet until my surgery Wednesday. The first 4-5 days sucked so bad for me but now I'm used to it. Idk if you're allowed to have caffeine on your diet but I can. I've cut down on it quite a bit but still drink a little when I get super tired. Sugar free energy drinks are life for me right now lol

I had to. It sucked but I managed. I vape a 0 mg juice now because the hand to mouth motion is a tough one to break. You can do this!!

So you're having yours the 19th too?! Yay we really are surgery twins lol. This liquid diet is so blah at this point. My kids had cheeseburgers for dinner and I almost fell over dead. I just kept drinking my sad cup of bone broth lol

You get 5 shakes a day? I only get 3 but I've been doing 3 shakes, a cup of bone broth, and sf popsicles or jello if things get tough. I havent weighed myself so I'm not sure how much I've lost.
