Another Aldi winner. These are super good, so far I prefer the cinnamon over the lemon. Aldi’s is so inexpensive, these are 1.65 for a pack of 6. -

That looks ok.... In hindsight though it’s usually worth it. Hash browns are my kryptonite, I avoid them! -

I tried a new thing I read about with frozen grapes. Take them out of the freezer and lightly spray cold water on them, just get them damp. Sprinkle sugar free jello powder (Whatever goes with grape) directly on them. I did it with raspberry and it I enjoyed it very much. It’s perfect for when you get a non chocolate sweet tooth attack. Btw, grapes don’t have to be frozen! -
@JAKE H You deserve a standing humble brag! You put in a lot of hard work and it paid off. Wtg!

So done with this stall

He actually has a specific video on 4 week stall. Btw, I like his videos because he’s very scientific, factual and good at explaining things. 4 week stall -
So done with this stall
Cheeseburgh replied to TheLdywMoxie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My body fought me tooth and nail but I fought back. I felt like my body got comfortable or settled on a weight for periods of time. I lost weight pretty slowly and I practically came to a screeching halt 6 months in. It was incredibly frustrating. I started reading and researching more. The following videos were probably the biggest help for me personally and still are. Dr Weiner is a Bariatric surgeon who posts on YouTube. Here are 2 videos that were “lightbulb moments” for me and really helped me understand and stick with it. Weight loss science Metabolic Thermostat Giving up before I reached my goal weight was never an option for me. I began posting and participating on this board at the end of March 2019. I was a lurker for about a year. Shortly after that I joined a gym. Having support here, increasing my activity and feeling more confident about the “why” I’m losing slower made a difference, but most importantly kept me motivated and still does. Keeping your head in the game when it gets tough is the hardest part of this. You have the right attitude, and you’ve got this. You should consider printIng out your post and putting it in your jewelry box . I hope you get some reassurance like I did from Dr Weiner’s video. -
Just say your home scale must be off.

I don’t think that’s slow and increasing calories is not the answer. Increasing activity will help.

My weight at surgery was 204. 500-700 was my range for a few months, then only a max 850 my first year until I got to my goal weight. I lost slow regardless, but I lost it. *disclaimer, I might be remembering this wrong, but it’s not far off. I’m currently maintaining and I have to stick around 1350 calories or I’ll gain.

I’ll just echo what others have said, 1200 calories is way too high.

Feeling Great - and Now I'm Craving Regular Food!
Cheeseburgh replied to LAJ23's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I added coffee or decaf to make them less sweet. I didn’t have any phantom tastes but it’s super normal to crave regular food. I thought the soft stage was hard. The good news is that something healthy and mundane like grilled chicken will feel decadent when you move to that phase! edited to add. Stop cooking for your family if it’s hard on you! They can do it! -

I was so lazy last night! I took 3 oz of cold chicken and put it on a piece of Aldi bread and had a few pickles. Bon Appetite! thanks for all the suggestions, I’ll use them on a day when I’m more inspired. -

I finally found it and it looks so weird to see 0 carbs on MFP! It’s decent bread, and super good with jelly. -

I’m not sure but I don’t think it’s a good idea to add too many foods on soft food stage. If you have a problem you will have a harder time narrowing down what bothered you. For sure no on the tortillas! Are you eating taco meat too? I don’t remember eating anything interesting or vegetables during that stage. Can you call your Nutritionist? -

Costco rotisserie chicken is a staple for me. I bought one yesterday and I’d love some ideas for dinner tonight with the leftovers. I have a lot leftover. I tend to make the same things (chicken tacos) and it’s getting boring. Anyone have ideas? My pantry is stocked to go Thai, Italian, Mexican or stir fry. If anyone has a good curry recipe that would be nice. I always wing it so it’s not consistently good. -

Weird breakfast, but it works for me. 10 Costco shrimp with a tsp of cocktail sauce. Small slice of ciabatta with bruschetta topping. 125 calories. -

I’m 59 years old and I’m amazed (and pissed) at how easy it is for me to gain weight. I had a magical metabolism until I was 45 or so. If I stray too far from 1400 calories it adds up at a rapid rate for me personally. Chemo forced me into instant menopause and I’ve wondered if that played a part. -

I just found the bread this week, I haven’t tried the other varieties. I really like Aldi’s English muffins with jelly though. They are only 120 calories but carby of course. I do need to watch my carb intake closer, I was hoping that wasn’t the case, however I gained 1.5 pounds his week while staying in my calorie zone. Granted it was the higher end of my calorie zone, but I had a lot of carbs! Back to reality this week! -

I’m always confused how to count the calories with wings. We smoke them vs. deep fry, I can figure out that part. But I pretty much only eat the drummies and on MFP the numbers are all over the map!
