What can I take to Sleep ?
Cheeseburgh replied to Nikkim531's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
If you are sleeping 8 hours and still wiped out it might be an iron, B12, D, or other deficiency . Ask your Doctor. I have to take an iron supplement everyday, it really helps me. I wouldn’t try a sleep aid first if I was already sleeping 8 hours. Heads up, I did some weird stuff on Ambien! -
I am not a fan of #11. I don’t understand the benefit of manufacturing a feel bad day. I didn’t realize how many of the exercises on this list are ones I have never done or never do. I have never done a burpee but I do know they can be considered punishment! I’m going to give them a whirl after my coffee. I am going for a long walk today then hopefully see the Elton John movie later. I do miss movie popcorn, but I can live without it. @thatch Glad you caught your 3 lb gain quickly, are you going to change things up?

Lies to tell people about what surgery I am having

I took a new class today, Women on Weights. 😵 The instructor was not playing! I am now a human noodle. I don’t think I’ll try jumping jacks just yet. I have a date with a hammock this afternoon. I want to be remembered for being a kind, funny and honest person. @Jonsie27 I am far from an expert, from my short lived experience cutting (and 100% tracking) my calories by 100 and increasing my exercise really helped me get things moving. Getting a Fitbit really helped me too. 1/3 of the way into June, we’ve got this! 👸

#9. Identify sources of pain. I’m guessing they mean emotional pain. I’ll keep it simple. Feeling alone and realizing I believe I deserve less. If we are referring to physical pain, then it’s my feet. Lunges today, if anyone has tips on how to do them in a less awkward fashion, please let me know.

In the current hyper capitalist US, hiring a morbidly obese person is an added expense and a risk. It is a serious health problem you can’t disguise.

Food Before and After Photos

IGNORE THE TACOS lol We went out to dinner last night. I find Mexican restaurants a pretty easy place to order from. The fajitas pictured were my dinner, (the tacos & rice were my skinny son’s. ) I order them without any extras, no cheese, sour cream, rice, beans, tortillas or guac. I ate about 1/3 so I have leftovers for today. I use MFP for tracking and chose On The Border restaurant chain for logging purposes. I figure it must be close, I don’t eat this often enough to be worried about a few differences. This restaurant is incredible. I find it comforting to know I can go out to eat, and still thoroughly enjoy it. -
Small things that make me happy: Clean sheets, exact change, polite people, finding the perfect underwear, a new easy recipe, finishing the laundry and having all the socks accounted for. Today it’s remembering I have awesome leftovers in the fridge waiting for me! Those are just a few I thought of off the top of my head. I haven’t decided what I’m going to do to workout today. I wish I had someone to play tennis with, I feel like being outside. I will probably go to the gym late afternoon after putzing around the yard. I haven’t done high knees in years, wish me luck! @DeeberLee I haven’t got the courage to run, good for you!

@Frustr8 Nothing personal, but can you be less graphic? This is a support thread, not a medical thread. Thank you

Disturbing video for those using Fairlife milk
Cheeseburgh replied to MIZ60's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
The huge grocery chain, Jewel (I think owned by Albertsons now) stopped carrying it due to animal cruelty. eta. They have a hold on selling Fairlife. -
Someplace coastal in Southern Europe. I’ve always wanted to go to Greece, the Amalfi coast in Italy, (I can hope for a George Clooney sighting) or Croatia then off to Monaco for a few fancy days.

I’m not sure about that. My surgery weight was 204 and I had surgery a month before you did. I’m down 64 pounds since surgery, I lost 20 something while I was qualifying for surgery. The side statistics next to our names can be misleading. Many of us post our highest weight vs. surgical weight because it all starts with your first appointment. I’m not complaining, I’ve had to work hard for every pound the past few months and I believe that is going to help me in the long run.

Reflect on what I’ve learned this week: I learned that I really dislike the mountain climber exercise! I have never done that one before and it was very difficult for me. Went for 2 long walks yesterday and that felt really good for a change of pace. Today did 30 minutes elliptical followed by some TRX. I’ll go for a walk later today or tonight. (Or both!) I’ve learned that I need to find a balance this summer between gym and home based workouts. I also think I’m going to look for a less expensive gym when my membership is done in August. I’ll test drive a few to see if I can find a good fit. Some of them are too had core and I’m not interested in a Planet Fitness type place. Hopefully I’ll find something, if not I’ll stay where I am. Anyone have fun weekend plans?

*Tears* longest Plateau Ever..long vent
Cheeseburgh replied to bajankat's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I use MFP too. If you use a Fitbit you can sync it with them also. -
My sister says, “That’s not the movie that was playing in my head” when something she envisioned turns out sideways.

Mine is only smooth because I refused to add fluctuations! It would be MUCH bumpier, I just let the blips slide for my sanity. -
*Tears* longest Plateau Ever..long vent

Hang in there. I am a slow loser and here I am almost at my first goal weight. I felt like I was slowing down too much in March so I joined a gym, cut my calories from an average of 800 to 700. My surgery weight was 204 on 8/13/18. I will post my chart so you can visualize even slow losers move in the right direction. -
Depletes my energy: Drama people, confrontations, and being inactive for over an hour are my big 3. I also get worn down and overwhelmed when I let my kitchen or laundry pile up. I have to try and stay on top of it despite my hatred of cleaning. I had a regular Dr. appointment today so instead of the gym I went for a 45 minute walk. I plan on going out again after dinner, we finally have decent weather here. Sorry @Sheribear68 ! I feel like the every other day gym thing is working for me this week mentally. Much to my surprise I lost another pound and I am now only about a half a pound from my first goal weight. I won’t feel I’m there until my weight is consistent for a week. I tend to float up & down 1-2 pounds a week or so while my body adjusts.
