I’m still beyond sore from that workout, I skipped weight lifting today again. I cringe even trying to sit down. I’m kind of mad at the trainer right now. I did do cardio, but a lot slower than usual. Ill go to the gym tomorrow and use lighter weights. I probably will only do upper body, my legs are still incredibly sore. I’ll let the trainer know how sore I am if I see him. I didn’t paint or color anything today!

Tonight’s footwear. I even got my husband to pose lol. We never go bowling and we are not good at it, but it was fun.

I’m soooo sore from strength training yesterday, no way I can do it today too. I am starting an every other day routine. Today I did cardio and I think we might actually go bowling tonight. I am a terrible bowler but I’m game to give it a whirl. I just want to get out of the house and off the couch. I’ll count going to the bowling place as a day trip since I’ve never been there before!

Of course, I hope you like navy blue!

I’ve incorporated rice into my diet for the past 6 months, I just don’t eat a lot of it. I have an iron sleeve. -

My husband is deathly allergic to wheat, not a gluten intolerance, the real deal anaphylaxis and the whole nine yards so I don’t buy farro, (I do order it at restaurants) we do have quinoa and although barley is supposed to be safe it makes me nervous! I’ve seen Mexican street corn everywhere too, I hate cheese and mayo so nope for me! Dinner turned out great, it was super easy too. Nuked rice from Trader Joe’s is perfect. -

Weber propane grill. My husband is a very serious grill and bbq person. We have a hilariously huge smoker on our patio. This picture doesn’t do justice to how big it is! edited to add: I will throw pineapple in cast iron or a non stick pan too. You don’t have to have a grill. -

Dinner tonight: Overnight marinated Galena Spice Company dry Jerk spice mix with Kirkland boneless skinless chicken breast. With 1/4 cup brown rice mixed with scallions & pico 70 cal. and 2 grilled pineapple rings 60 cal. 2 days in a row for grilled pineapple. The chicken calories on the label are very low. 100 calories for 4 oz! (About 2/3 of a breast) I still weigh everything. They must pump them full of water. I am beyond stuffed tonight, some days are just like that. It turned out awesome and the calories ended up being crazy low, (225) although it really seemed like more. -
Update: Personal trainer did not kill me but I’m pretty sure he tried. I was d.y.i.n.g. after awhile I said, “Do you expect this much out of every almost 60 year old person? “ (Ok, I’m 58 but I wanted him to feel bad for me) I got a new compliment today. First he thought I was joking, then realized I wasn’t . He apologized and said he honestly thought I was 45 and reduced the crazy amount of weight he was expecting me to lift. Maybe he was blowing smoke up my ..., who knows. I don’t look like I’m 45, ok maybe a rough 45 year old. My neck looks 80. Best lie... I don’t lie very often because I could never keep track, but I love a good prank. I convinced a friend in high school that Jimmy Carter was my Grandfather. He was running for president and I was bored. I told her the truth the following day.

I just got back from Trader Joe’s. Looks like we are having brown rice with something mixed in lol. I’m going rogue tonight and making it up as I go along. If I remember I’ll post pictures. -
I can’t go cold turkey.

Anxiety and head hunger are killing me

Nothing wrong with asking for a prescription. I find simply having Xanax or klonopin in my purse or at home helps me with anxiety. I do take it on occasion if I need it. (Not both!) Just knowing I have something that will help keeps me at ease. I haven’t had full blown anxiety in awhile. (knock on wood) I hope you get relief soon. -
Headed out to meet the trainer this afternoon. It’s not navy blue!

Is there a thread for people who still like to cook and be creative? I enjoy creating or tweaking recipes so I can still eat things I love. -

One year today! I made it to my goal. It felt slow at times but I don’t take a single pound for granted. I hope everyone is doing well and feels good. Here is my chart. Edited to add: I joined a gym in April and it shows on the graph. -

I’m marinating chicken breasts in jerk seasoning to grill tonight. Anyone have some ideas to pair with it other than salad? This is my personal list of starchy carb foods. I’m ok with these because I don’t find myself wanting more or overindulging. 1/4 cup rice, 1 slice of whole grain bread, 1/2 ear of corn or corn tortillas. I’ll probably end up making salad lol. -
One year ago today! I hoped I would reach 140, I thought my current weight 129-130 was too much of a stretch goal. I couldn’t be happier with the results. I know the hard part will be over the next few years. I feel like I’m educating myself and preparing for what lies ahead. I have an appointment with the personal trainer late afternoon. I’m certain I’ll meet the 35 minutes of cardio! The gym has a really nice private steam room so I might indulge in that afterwards. I have been listening to the podcast My Favorite Murder. I love morbid stuff if I’m not involved. I didn’t go to the arcade zone yesterday, my son had plans. Womp womp.

Let me know if you run into Ina Garten! Lol -
Good morning. Have a dance party.... yeah, no on that lol. rest day, I can’t really do that today since I was on vacation last week. I could really tell after I did the elliptical yesterday. I’ll do cardio/elliptical again this morning. I’m meeting with the trainer tomorrow afternoon so I need to keep my stamina up. I finally weighed under 130 today, I was curious if I could do it. It isn’t my goal weight , more of a personal challenge. No plans really today, I’m going to ask my 20 yr old son if he wants to go rent paddle boats or maybe head out to the fun center place to race go carts. The inspiration for the fun center actually came from the challenge, they have Dance Dance Revolution there! (No, not doing that) i just feel like doing something different. 50/50 chance my son will want or be able to go with me but I will ask!

This is my new favorite dinner. Smoked lean pork tenderloin marinated overnight in Frontera Grill Carnita sauce. 1 thin mission corn tortilla, pico de Gallo, grilled pineapple and 3.5 oz of lean pork. Total 268 calories. My husband adds Don Poncho cilantro lime crema (Costco) it is only 40 calories for 2 Tablespoons. I hate creamy stuff.
