Thanks! Looks like we are in the same neck of the woods. What kind or brand of bike rack works with these, or do you have a SUV/truck?

Husband is stressing me out pre-op
Cheeseburgh replied to momof3_angels's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
You don’t need the additional stress, I’m sorry you are dealing with this. The surgeon in this video does a really good job explaining weight loss/gain and surgery. I learned a lot by watching it, if you think it would help ask your daughter and husband to watch it with you. Dr Weiner metabolic Dr. Weiner has a lot of good videos abut bariatric surgery. Best of luck to you. -

Thanks, I bought a pair, heads up, only the CHINO pixie pants are on sale. I also found jeans 50% off there. I now own 3 pair of pants that fit. Casual day for me as always. Note: Thank you for your advice everyone. I also now have a belt and a statement necklace. (I tried it on but I’m not wearing it with this get up)

I suggested Popcorners since you had this listed, I thought it would be a good swap. -

@ms.sss When I was in Ajax we stopped at Costco and they carry Popcorner “chips” . (My Costco doesn’t carry them) I ordered some from Amazon. They are a decent choice when you feel like eating processed stuff. I like the kettle corn because it satisfies sweet and savory. They also carry a line called flex that has protein and another organic one I think. I don’t think I’ve ever had dumping so I can’t vouch for this product regarding that. This is from their website. (Kettle corn) Never fried. Verified non-GMO. Kosher. Certified gluten-free. No artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives. 120 calories/serving. 0 grams trans fat. No nuts. No dairy. Vegan. Denied after being approved and devastated

I’m not so sure how cut and dry this is, my surgeon is listed when I looked under surgeons vs Bariatric Clinics. He even has a special designation listed. -

I’m still figuring out maintenance and found myself really low on calories tonight so I made myself half a peanut butter sandwich. That was one of the best things I’ve had in awhile. I have a normal physical Friday, I’ll ask my Doctor about B12 too. -
Your outfit looks like it could have been taken out of my closet!

This must be new, I had surgery last year and the hospital and clinic I went to is not on their list. What a shame, it is a great and comprehensive program. Plus, really Northwestern isn’t good enough? Northwestern Delnor -

There are so many Aetna plans. Aetna underwrites plans for companies and they vary so much. I have Aetna and nothing I experienced would pertain to her situation. I agree with Fluffy, grab your records and find a surgeon they will accept ASAP. Best of luck. -
I’ll check in if enough people participate

August flew by! Instead of a movie I watched 3 episodes of Mind hunters season 2 on Netflix. it is sooo good. i skipped formal workouts the past 2 days. I’m in a cleaning and organizing mode. I’ve gotten so much done and I’m averaging 1600 steps a day doing it so I know I’m being active!

Any idea of your iron levels? I have chronically low iron and I get hungrier and tired if I skip taking supplements. I take a ferrous iron everyday and it really helps. Just a thought! -
No question, you’ve got this! Congratulations, you look amazing!

I love your bold choices, you wear it so well!

I kind of feel like that too, however, I haven’t hovered around the same weight as consistently as you. I told my dietician last week that even though I’m not eating 1200 calories my weight has been pretty stable. Her response was; That is your body telling you you’ve reached the weight where you should be. Gradually add calories and continue working out. As you can see I heard what she said, I just haven’t wrapped my head around it.

It is gross and rainy here (Chicago) today so I have a chance to wear my new jeans. I certainly have a “look” lol I need to mix it up, I’m starting to look like Gilligan!

Where are my water guzzlers?
Cheeseburgh replied to Vance-666's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
This is not a fact. I heard this through the grapevine last year and was worried. I asked my Doctor and he laughed and said nope, water can’t do that. edited to add: my post is not a fact either, it is my surgeons opinion. -
Figuring out maintenance is a head game. I’m still working on wrapping my head around the fact that I’m no longer trying to lose. I set my calories to 1200 on MFP but I feel guilty if I go over 1000. I lose weight slowly and I worked HARD to get to this point. I know it will take a little time to adjust but ugh! Anyone have tips or suggestions? My BMR is 1260 according to my clinic.
