Movie: I’m taping whatever insipid Hallmark movie is on tonight. I watch them on my iPad in bed. I probably end up watching 1/3 of them depending on level on insipidness. Went for a 5 mile bike ride tonight, it is perfect weather here. 74 and sunny today. Peer pressure. None, I have a very supportive family and great friends. I chose to quit drinking 4-5 years ago and nobody ever pressures me to eat or drink anything. They let me be me and I appreciate that.

We get these at Costco, I can’t believe they are so low in calories. I usually can finish 1/2 of one which is great if I get hungry in between meals. I used a ruler to show how big one stick/serving is. Edited to add, these are not jerky. Brand is Greenridge Farm.

My body just stopped losing weight when I hit 128 which was fine with me. My Doctor asked me to stop losing too. I eat about 1000 to 1200 calories a day now, I slowly upped it from 800-1000. I hover between 128.2 and 130.2 like clockwork for over a month now. I haven’t been working out as hardcore so I know I have to keep my calories low. Once I get back to my gym routine I’ll be able to add calories. (I hope) I’m still walking and biking everyday but I’m not weight training because I still hate it.

I’m on an every other day schedule it seems with the squats. Day 11. Spa time: I took a long shower lol Day 12: Hobby. The past few weeks I’ve turned into the DIY queen around the house. The bathroom job just kept getting bigger, so today looks like I’m going to put up new baseboard. It’s turning out nice, I’m pretty proud of myself! B side: New habits. I walk everyday and workout at least 3 days a week. I also am organizing EVERYTHING in my house. I feel like a need a clean slate and I’m getting rid of clutter and stuff I just don’t need.

Can you take in season name brand items to a good consignment store? That is what I did and just donated the rest.

I really like those boots on you. I have a fear of high boots on myself.

I fell a little “behind” on squats this weekend. (Pardon my pun) I decided to update my main bathroom last week and it became a much larger project than I originally planned. Painting and priming burn a lot of calories though! I take time to read everyday.

Question. I never shop or even look in junior sizes, at least since college. What in the world is the difference between a size 5,7,9 (odd numbers) vs. 6,8,10? I’m old enough to remember shopping at Sears Lemon Frog Shop (US) and everyone wanted to wear a size 7. This was before vanity sizing, so I don’t know what that would be now.

Congratulations! The picture of you and (I assume) your son is touching, he looks so proud of you. -
I hosted last year when I was 3 months post op. Only a few people knew I had surgery so no fuss was made. I did the classics and added a healthy green bean side. I don’t recall being hungry or even caring that much about the food. I know I had turkey and a little gravy, I was worried it might not agree with me but I had no problems. It wasn’t a big deal. I’m sure it helped I was only 3 months post op. I might be hosting again this year, I’ll probably do the same but add a salad and maybe fresh strawberries with sugar free cool whip for a pie alternative. This year I am going to have 1/3 cup of stuffing, I don’t care about the rest!

Squats done, plus I’m painting a room so I decided I get extra points for that. Plan a healthy meal. Made ground chicken lettuce wraps tonight, they were good but I made them a bit too spicy. No yoga. Am I a day ahead?

I despise them, they have a weird taste to me. -
@GreenTealael You might be on to something! I grew up on lake Monona with a pier and boat in my backyard. I present exhibit A your stock photo. Exhibit B: grabbed out of my closet. Is this close enough? (The white pants don’t fit)

I forgot how hard squats are! 4. Donate something. I saw this yesterday which lead to me posting on my neighborhood FB. I found a local shelter that needed a flat screen tv. We have an extra one that has been collecting dust in my bedroom.

I have been and will be in the budget phase my entire life. My Mom loved fashion and quality (designer) clothing. The fact that she and my Dad were both teachers (not wealthy) didn’t deter her, she was simply a fantastic shopper and rarely paid retail. That has been ingrained in me. I don’t have the same passion or the patience of scouring racks of clothing as she did though!

I definitely have seen people and thought, I wonder if they considered surgery, but I have never been tempted to bring up the subject. There is something I do differently now. I go out of my way to smile and say hi. (Not in a creepy obvious way) So many people on this site have mentioned how invisible they felt which made me more aware.

I’ve always been casual. I feel like I never really grew out of the preppy look, although the 7 years I was overweight I pretty much wore JJill. I simply went back to dressing like I did before. I ordered a shirt online today that pretty much sums up everything I like. (Pic is the model) Navy✔️ Stripes✔️ polka dots ✔️

Went to a forest preserve in the area, these old oak trees looked so peaceful to me. I hope to come back and take pictures in the fall. I told my husband to walk at his own pace....As you can see, he walks a little faster than I do! -
Squats done. Caught up with a friend yesterday. Do I love or loathe exercise.. Depends on the day and the exercise. (Although I loathe strength training most days) I don’t dislike working out and being active now that I’m at a healthy weight. It’s much easier to do and I find myself getting up and doing things when I’m bored vs just watching tv. I’m the old lady shooting hoops in my driveway now.

Apparently mine runs deep and I had no idea to what extent until I started reading and posting on this thread. I would describe my style as “budget nautical” lol I am so grateful to get advice and see what everyone is wearing. It gives me some ideas and maybe I’ll even expand my wardrobe. It’s funny, I’m not a conservative person but I dress pretty conservative.

Food Before and After Photos

I wish I remembered to take a picture of it but I was so excited and hungry I forgot. I made homemade pizza with Trader joe ready to bake pizza dough. It turned out excellent. I highly recommend their dough. I will never eat cauliflower crust pizza, kudos to those that can handle that. I measured out 2 oz raw dough and rolled it thin. I’ll post the ingredients I used which shows macros. I piled a lot on it since this was the first slice of pizza I had in over a year. I ate half of it, went shopping and finished the other half a few hours later. This is a much higher calorie dinner than I normally have, it would be super easy to adjust lower. One thing I would change would be the brand of chicken sausage. I bought the brand True Story at Costco. It is higher calories and doesn’t taste as good as the lower calorie brand, (Al Fresco) that I prefer. -
Oooh, I need the squat challenge. I’m going to start with the hard one and call an audible after I see how I do. sleeve post op a year in maintenance. Personal goal: Keep moving and exercising and build up muscle. weight: 128-131 depending on day BMI 23? (Close enough) Favorite flaw. I believe I’m taller than I actually am to the point of shock when I see myself in a group picture. I consider it a flaw vs. a delusion because otherwise it sounds like I’m insane.

I haven’t ridden a bike in years. My husband and I started discussing getting bikes so we could start riding and keep moving. I was a bit intimidated at first because I had no interest in a racing type bike. I was so excited when I ran across the beach Cruiser Bikes. We ordered them, (although you can buy them at stores) put them together and I feel really stable and safe riding it. There are a bunch of brands and styles out there. I’m 58 and my husband is 63 and I recommend this style to anyone in our age group. It’s a more comfortable ride and easier on your back. I love having another option for exercise.

Yes, I’m in Geneva/Batavia west of the city. Great bike path up the Fox, I think it goes to Elgin. Thank you for the brand. Sorry, one more question, do you use the hitch mounted one or trunk? I would like to get away with trunk mounted if possible.
