“Groom yourself” cracks me up for some reason. I showered and brushed my hair, there ya go. No yoga, I’ve tried it, just not for me. Hardest conversation. Not sure, I avoid conflict like the plague.

I didn’t notice. I’ve posted pictures here with only one boob! I tend to forget my prosthetic when I’m at home. So far I haven’t left the house without it...but that day will come...

@ms.sss Your trip sounds like a trip of a lifetime. (No kids lol) It is awesome you have the knowledge and tools to navigate and motivate yourself to adapt your diet and lifestyle and still have fun! *Holy run on sentence Batman.

Brown rice and corn tortillas are my main starchy carbs on rotation. I seem to have a steel sleeve because nothing bothers me except too much fat. I do see you had a bypass so this is probably not very helpful to you!

Seriously, how do you pee when you wear jumpsuits?

I kept meticulous records of what I ate and just kept reassuring myself that there was no possible way I wasn’t going to lose weight eating 600 calories a day. After about 6 months I got frustrated enough to join a gym and get serious. That helped me get to the finish line, I worked out 6-7 days a week for 3-4 months. Now that I am on maintenance I work out 3 days a week but walk or bike everyday. I don’t have a big appetite so I can get away with that for now, I know it will change and when it does I’ll pick up my workouts again.

I’m on maintenance and I eat 1200 calories a day. That is too high imo

@sillykitty It is very flattering!

Gastric Sleeve after 50 (Senior Sleevers)
Cheeseburgh replied to Lainie-lou's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I had sleeve surgery last year, 8/18, I’ll be 59 at the end of this month. I hit my stretch goal about 11 months in. I’m only a few months past a year but so far it’s been very easy to maintain. I did lose slower than a lot of people but it did come off! -
We had so much fun at the Casino party, I killed it in Texas Hold’em! Gambling with fake money is a lot more fun. B side. What would I do with an extra $1000? Put it in the never ending home repair, upgrade money pot. This month is a new central air conditioner (5k), which wouldn’t be so bad except we have had to replace every. single. appliance. In our house the past year. Relax with a movie today.,.The Breaking Bad movie is on Netflix so I’m watching that tonight, not sure how relaxing that will be but I’m stoked to see it. I’m also trying to talk my husband into going to the Haunted Quarry in our town tonight. Off to do abs! (I’m not the biggest fan of the side leg ones lol)

Anxiety after sleeve
Cheeseburgh replied to TriciaMcGrath's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
It isn’t uncommon for people to use food to ease anxiety without even knowing it. The ability to eat while stressed is removed the first few months so identifying what is causing it and learning to cope is really important for long term success. Of course your anxiety could also be due to wacky hormones, but I wouldn’t assume anything. -
Thanks for your help everyone! The casino party is tonight and I decided on the cheap Amazon dress paired with a statement necklace, short boots and black opaque tights. I’m not wearing the tights in this picture, I was just deciding which shoes/jewelry to wear. We don’t leave for a few hours. *I also got a sparkly manicure! All of your opinions and suggestions helped a lot, thanks again.

Pamper: I got a manicure, I can’t recall the last time I did that. I feel very shiny lol Going to a Vegas/casino theme party so we’re getting all dressed up tonight. The food sounds amazing and looks like a lot of good choices will be available. I’m the designated driver so no added calories! One of the things I love about myself is that I don’t talk aloud about the things I love about myself.

Congratulations! It’s a weird feeling, isn’t it?

I’m not finding these easier as I go.... Favorite vegetable. I am not a huge fan of a lot of veggies, I prefer cold raw vegetables. I guess in summer I would say a salad or asparagus and in the winter I love acorn squash.

What a wonderful cousin, you look great!

A forkful of cake? That doesn’t count. I very rarely ate anything off plan but when I did I planned for it. Last thanksgiving I had a couple bites of pumpkin pie, and I had a few chocolates and a cookie at Christmas/eve. I didn’t feel bad, I was proud I stuck to what I said I was going to indulge in. I’ve slacked off the daily abs, getting back at it tomorrow. I been living at Menards, Lowe’s and Home Depot since I seem to be fixing and painting everything in my path. Worst job I ever had. Before the internet I worked in sales for an expensive dating service in sales. IT SUCKED, I had to lie and say I was single, but dating and it was gross. (I was married)

Thanks for your help! Good news is I own both of them and can interchange them with my mood. I keep going back and forth.

@GreenTealael You are close but I would never do a theme😂! I painted the oak vanity blue, so that is spot on! I have never, nor will I ever own anything with an anchor on it. Can I post a SCOTD? (Shower curtain of the day) I want to be best friends with an interior decorator. Here is my new hall bath. We have a 90’s builders subdivision model home and I am trying to update as much as possible on my own. I’m pretty proud how this turned out. Which shower curtain do you prefer? Rain drops vs. textured stripes. Thank you for any help and if you don’t want me to post this stuff on this thread let me know, I will understand!

It’s early out there! Very cute fall outfit.

I’m remodeling 2 of my bathrooms, the final piece for the first remodel arrived yesterday. I was laughing so hard I made my husband take a picture.

@Sheribear68 That dress looks absolutely fabulous on you.

I don’t use the app, I just go through my browser on my iPad. OOTD = Groundhog Day for me.

Thank you. You are losing at about the same rate I did. I had surgery 8/13/18 weight 204. I looked back at my weight log and on 11/12/18 I weighed 179. I was eating 500-600 calories a day but my metabolism had a mind of it’s own. I really had to pick it up and workout hard the last 4 months to get it going. You’ve got this. yes, I work at this everyday, I will the rest of my life.
