I had surgery 8/18 -14 months post op. Bad news: The only thing that worked for me was working out at a gym 5-7 days a week towards the end. I did that for 3 months and lost the final 25-30. It was really hard but I was determined to get there. I lost weight slower and it was frustrating at times. My calories were in the 800 range. Good news: I don’t have to workout with that frequency to maintain so far, I just stay really active. I’m going to get back into a routine of 3 days a week because I know it will help in the long run. You can lose weight without exercise but you can’t keep it off without it. I wish it wasn’t true!

Such a cute outfit @ms.sss . I love your belt, being the copycat I am I’ll probably go buy one now. I have always gravitated towards black and dark colors. Looking back I probably wore more colors when I was heavier since I pretty much bought everything from J.Jill because I wouldn’t have to purchase “plus size” clothing. Clothing sizes are such a mind game.

@cupcake817 Dr. Weiner on YouTube has discussed African American women losing less percentage wise after bariatric surgery. They don’t know why. I found a Huffington Post story addressing the differences in weight loss. I found it interesting. I am very picky about sheets, can’t handle flannel. I’ve been bad at keeping up with the ab challenge! Tomorrow is another day.

I got new boots. I’m such a copycat, a good friend of mine was wearing similar (Hers are real, mine are knock offs) ones this weekend so I ran out and bought a pair.

I’m not suggesting she do anything different, I’m sincerely curious if that is sustainable. Everyone is different, Relax.

Is 850 enough for you? It seems so low for maintenance and would be hard for me to stick to long term. I weigh the same (126) for about 3 months also and I’m eating 1000-1250 calories a day. Congratulations on getting to your goal!

Which jean jacket did you end up getting? It looks really cute with your olive green dress.

La Choy cheap old soy sauce is gluten/wheat free. It boggles my mind that they don’t market it that way.

I ordered mine to ship to store. I got a Medium, it runs big but I like that. I don’t feel like it is too bulky or an unflattering “too big”. I like the cut. I’m away at my sisters lake house waiting for a few friends to arrive and another one to wake up! Fun weekend ahead with great shopping.

@Sheribear68 Happy Birthday yesterday!

It’s been a very cool fall this year. I love this weather but I notice I have become a bit more of a homebody and less active. I haven’t gained probably because I don’t have a big appetite. I just need to be aware and keep this mini-hibernation in check and short. I’m going to a my sister’s lake house this weekend with some girlfriends, I am super excited about that. It will be nice to get away for a few days and catch up. One of my friends hasn’t seen me for a year, she doesn’t know I had surgery so I’m expecting a lot of questions. I really hate lying but I only told my husband, my kids my sister and one girlfriend.

Can you talk to your clinic or hospital and get assistance starting a post op group?

Lamb skeeves me out, if I have to think about meat I can’t eat it!
