Good multivitamin ... not chalky ?
Cheeseburgh replied to BQT's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I used centrum liquid that I bought from Amazon the first few months. It’s orange flavored, definitely vitamin flavored but it was easy to shoot down and get it over with. -
Splurge item: I’m not sure..I have a Prada purse that cost an arm and a leg and it’s held up well over the years. I also bought a crazy expensive chair years ago that I still love. Maybe it’s just my bedroom set. I always wanted a bedroom set when I was a kid and I felt so grown up when I bought one. Im behind here, Band I’m grateful for. Probably Earth Wind and Fire, they’ve never let me down.

Going out to eat...
Cheeseburgh replied to karlee0206's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Shrimp cocktail was my go to for a few months. -
I’m eating stuffing, not low carb, real croutons with butter, celery, onions etc.. Ive quit smoking, drinking and now eating for pleasure during my lifetime. My day is planned and nothing is coming between myself and my stuffing.
-
Traits I’m grateful for: I’m a very resilient person and I have a good sense of humor, B side: I’m not nervous at all, I’m planning my day around stuffing.

I’m grateful I have strong legs. *previous topic, I’ll keep it short. I hate rejection real or perceived. I don’t believe everything happens for a reason. Bad things happen to good people, good things happen to bad people. It’s random, it’s not fair and I know firsthand it is one of the worse things you can say to someone who lost a child or suffered a traumatic event. We pick ourselves up and move on.

I’m looking super fancy today. I actually “painted” stained my grout. It’s a long process and the evidence is all over my old yoga pants. *added bonus: I just noticed my shirt is inside out.

A Crazy Past Two Years- Grazing issue begun
Cheeseburgh replied to Lysbelle's topic in Food and Nutrition
I know a few family members that swear by Noom. My son lost 50 pounds and ran a half marathon last week. It is a more comprehensive approach and not a short term diet. It might be something that clicks with you. -
@ms.sss I found them on Amazon Canada. The price is about $10 more than expected with the currency exchange. Canada boots for Ms.sss

I was 6-8 lbs lighter in high school, I graduated in 1978 and have no idea how to compare. Clothes were sized differently, I played sports and I was less focused on my weight. I did however have a butt, that seems to have flattened out.

Rejection is a hard one for me. I’ll have to think about it. Then again, maybe I’ll skip this one.

Sale alert: Pixie pants at Old Navy are on sale (US) online and in stores for $15

Fall is my favorite season, I’m always hot so I look forward to cooler weather. Hair: Mine has never been the same since chemo 8 years ago. After I lost the weight this year I had it cut short for the first time in years. I really like the change and I’ve noticed the past month my hair is getting thicker again after 8 years. I didn’t expect that. I’m assuming it’s a hormonal shift .

Struggling with Planning to Eat Something "Bad"
Cheeseburgh replied to KT1981's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I am like this too. Eat the bread for gods sakes though! If you are going to plan a splurge do it right and enjoy it. Having a favorite food on occasion keeps me sane. -
IM IN A STALL, but im ok...
Cheeseburgh replied to JAKE H's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I had frequent stalls and lost the weight slower than average. To keep my head in the game and maintain my sanity I only weighed myself when I felt lighter. I think that really helped me get to my goal weight. -
Dr. Matthew Weiner explains better than anyone how weight loss surgery works. Spoiler alert: neuro hormonal axis. Common weight loss surgery Myths Here is another video of him discussing the unimportance and misunderstanding of “stretching your sleeve” Sleeve/ pouch stretching

Madison was such a great place to grow up. My Dad and a bunch of my friends still live there . My son moved there after college so we go up pretty often. The neighborhood I grew up in has become very chic! I was very lucky, I grew up on Lake Monona in the Marquette neighborhood and went to East High. I wouldn’t trade it for anywhere.

I’m behind but I like the movie question. Terms of Endearment Silence of the Lambs Get Out The Way We Were The Devil Wears Prada Airplaine! Ordinary People Ghosts of Mississippi (I had never heard of Medgar Evers prior to this movie shamefully)

@MIZ60 Does Tomah day still have the army base? I grew up in Madison and that’s all I remember about Tomah!

I don’t know the old color, other than it was taupe. it was a model home and it was whatever mass produced paint they used. My husband actually picked out the color in my line up. It’s Benjamin Moore Barren Plain. (Sounds painful) , but it is a nice soft light gray. People I’m most grateful for. 1. My daughter in laws, they help make my son and stepson very happy well adjusted men. 2. My 5 sons (bio and step) 3. Mr. Cheeseburgh. Sorry, I have to add a 4th. My sister.

Motivation after the first year
Cheeseburgh replied to Bypass2018's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I refuse to go back to where I was. I feel 100% better. That is my motivation. -
I HATE I GOT THIS STUPID SURGERY!
Cheeseburgh replied to theexfatgirl's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
@theexfatgirl The first 3 months I used this product about 1 time a day. It is super sweet, some people dilute it, I just sucked it out of the bag. Orange was the only flavor I could tolerate. I kind of grew to like it. It’s like eating/drinking a melted popsicle. Liquacel It’s a small amount in each packet for 16 grams of protein. -
I hit 125 for the first time today so I ate more. I don’t want to lose more. I’m not too thin, I just feel comfortable where I am. I’ve been holding steady at 126.4-127.8 for 2 months which seems to fit me.
-
I got your note that we have the same surgeon, (who is awesome) Hang in there with the 2 week diet and don’t skimp on your 1 meal a day! It’s tough. *Costco rotisserie chicken and their shrimp cocktail were my friend.

I’m having a crazy busy week, but I’m grateful for my house being painted. I didn’t realize how much I hated the color before. I’m also grateful I didn’t know how much I hated it. ok, I’ll check back in later this week. I need to read all the posts I missed!
