You look fantastic and I love your wardrobe!

Busy month! I haven’t done most of the list, of course I check it on a day that encourages me to shop! I’m going to have to resist... I’m done with shopping, at least I think I am. I take everything out and sort it. Every year it is unbalanced and I run out and buy a few things to even it up. I think my youngest is getting shortchanged this year. B side: I get sick of cooking and I have a habit of getting into a rut so I like going out a few times a week. I don’t make food my main focus which makes it easier.

”Brunch” today. Thank you @Losingit2018 for recommending Joseph’s lavash bread. I got my order today, chose the garlic herb flavor and promptly made pizza! I crisped the wrap up on a wire rack in the oven before I topped it. Total 340 calories. I used half a sheet of the bread for a whopping 55 calories. It would have been less but I browned the chicken sausage in a tsp of oil. I ate half of this and I’ll eat the other half in a few hours. -

Congratulations on your surgery! I’m so glad to hear it went well minus the pain. it does sound painful, hopefully the worst is over. Thanks for sharing your story, I look forward to hearing about your recovery and results. -
My greatest fear: Heights in general and I get very anxious when I watch news reports of wildfires approaching or in populated areas.

My philosophy was/is: I cooked everyone dinner, you’re welcome. It does not hurt my feelings if you don’t like it. We have bread, cheese, peanut butter, deli meat, eggo waffles, eggs and fruit if you would prefer to make your own meal. Feel free to order a pizza if you have money, I don’t care. This usually only happened on nights when I made curry, stir fry or fish. Now they all love those things. I never claimed to be mother of the year. -
I hope your surgery and recovery go smoothly!

If I could bake bread I can’t imagine how much I would have weighed! I LOVE good bread and I’m glad it’s hard to make. Do you watch The British Baking show on Netflix? It is my favorite relaxation program. -

Do you grill? This might sound like a pain but when we have steak my family gets ribeye or skirt and I always pick up a 6 oz filet for myself. It is practically half the calories. I do love skirt steak and have that on occasion. I’m farther out than you are and I find tricks like this one keep me sane. It’s nice to have an alternative when your appetite increases. -

I have a college kid here, and my husband knows to fend for himself so we are in different situations, however when I did/do cook for us I make one protein some veggies and something starchy for my son. I’ll nuke a potato, rice from Trader Joe’s or even just bread. Rotisserie chicken is a savior, tons you can do with that. I make a lot of tacos, I use 96% lean ground beef. you can just set out bowls of stuff like a taco bar on the table and you can pick and choose what you like and they can have what they like. You said your family likes pasta, make pasta and nuke zoodles for yourself, then you can have those with whatever sauce you made. breakfast for dinner is a good one too. Make Canadian bacon or ham so you can have protein too. Eggo Waffles count as dinner in my house. It’s very doable, ask your family for help and support, I’m sure some of them will pitch in. Especially if they’re afraid of what you’re cooking! Enlist the kids in ideas and prep to make your life easier, you deserve it. -

Rotisserie chicken from Costco or grocery store. Easy way to make fajitas, soup, salad, stir-fry, sandwiches etc.. if I don’t stop I’m going to sound like the man from Forrest Gump. Which reminds me of another one I like to have around, Fresh or frozen shrimp. Cooks crazy fast and is easy. -
I didn’t go to a cafe but I’ll probably go to the charming one near my house next week. It had a pipe burst so they had to temporarily close, I think the reopening is soon. I’m going shopping in Naperville today but I’m not opening my windows in route, it’s pretty chilly here! B side. Hydration in winter. I prefer room temp water in winter so I keep my Brita pitcher on my countertop.

Salted cantaloupe and watermelon are excellent. I know it seems weird to some people but it’s not uncommon. I eat it when I’m having a salty/sweet attack. eta. Gack on olives too. I love salt but nope!

This was sooo good. I kind of made it up, but started with this recipe as a guideline. Aida Mollenkamp Pork Apple cider I used boneless pork chops and subbed white wine for most of the cider vinegar, halved the maple syrup and added fresh apples and cayenne to cut the sweetness. Served it with roasted acorn squash. It turned out fabulous. I ate most of this. Not bad for a 400 calorie dinner! I just noticed I had all yellowish food... -
I agree, and I believe every woman has the right to rock her butt her way.
-
Is it just me? I like having a flat butt. I was always flat chested which was fine with me, but I always had a butt regardless of my weight. 110 and up. I was very self conscious of it and was pleasantly surprised when I lost it!

Minor things that send me into a tailspin. Being late, I HATE being late. btw, I changed my avatar, I looked at my Fitbit the other night and screen capped this and it cracked me up.
