Food Before and After Photos

I use 96% fat free ground beef with taco seasoning , it goes a long way. Salad with salsa dressing, or tacos, hard shell corn or soft corn tortillas are low in calories. My husband LOVES a Mexican crema from Costco. It only has 40 calories for 2 tablespoons. I hate creamy things because I’m odd. I’ll take a picture if anyone needs to know what I’m talking about. We also make pork loin and chicken a lot, super easy and lean. Leftovers are perfect for stir fry. We are having leftover pork loin tonight with Carnita marinade. Chicken Italian sausage is great to have on hand too! You can make an Italian style stir fry with peppers, onions & tomato sauce. i eat a lot of Mexican, Thai and Chinese . -

I’m not really stress eating although I’d like to! I’m just substituting and messing around with comfort foods/meals that I can fit into my plan. I’m a year and a half plus post op, at my goal weight and I eat an average of 1300 calories a day. I have been eating grapes a lot though. I haven’t dared venture into cookies, chips, popcorn or fries, and I have no plans to start! I have very little of those around the house, I only buy a few types of junk food (Pop tarts & Doritos) for my son in college. Being able to incorporate familiar foods within my calorie range helps me a lot mentally and physically. -

Does anyone else crave comfort food when stressed? I do and I’m finding ways to tweak things, so far it’s working. My weight is still very stable after 2 weeks of sheltering in place. This is a hideous picture of food but it was very good, in a crummy prepackaged way! It’s 3 oz of butterball turkey breast, their gravy packet and a 1/3 cup of stovetop stuffing. Second time in my life having this stuffing, it’s not bad! Total of 252 calories . It’s more carby than my usual choices which is probably why I’m enjoying it so much. I’m freezing the leftover stuffing since I’m the only one that eats it! -
A drop cloth with dried paint!

Getting ready to paint my mirror! I have to change out of my quarantine/shelter in place loungewear. This is as good as it’s going to get for awhile.

Damn, that is crazy. I hope you get good guidance from your Dr.

Why don’t you qualify? I thought a BMI 40 or over was the benchmark. I qualified by 1 pound.

I've been thinking of painting the front door so when it stops raining I'll add that to the list. (good news is I have some of the color I want left since I don't think paint stores are open now Ooh, painting! That’s my obsession, let me know if you need any tips! Lol -

Marie Kondo your dressers and closets? I’m the type of person who copes better when I’m doing something vs. being passive. I’m afraid I’m going to run out of things to paint! Lol -
I tipped the Instacart shopper 30% today, at first my husband second guessed me and I’m pretty sure he regretted that after I laid out why. They are also putting themselves in danger. i think I’ll go paint my mirror before I post new OOTD! Now I have a project I can look forward to!

With more people staying in or being quarantined someone active on this thread should consider arranging a lounge wear fashion show! I just realized @sillykitty works in the Grocery store industry and @Sheribear68 is a pharmacist. They must be running ragged, take care of yourselves. That includes everyone! @ms.sss I got my haircut a week ago by dumb luck, I’d be looking pretty ragged if I hadn’t. Maybe it’s time to get a Flowbee!

Im scared of gaining weight through this crisis

The stress is real and shopping is getting increasingly difficult. I have been planning for a few weeks so I have a lot of lean protein in my freezer. I also bought extra protein bars. I’ve been stress eating grapes for now, but fresh fruit and vegetables are the first things running low where I live. I’ll need a plan B, this is going to be a long term situation. We went into our basement and dug out a bunch of old board games and we are going to finally start actually doing Ring Fit on the Wii Switch. Weather permitting, going out for walks helps clear my head. @jasmineinmymind Can you ask for anxiety medication if you already aren’t taking one? Edited to add: I stocked up on paint so I can continue to stress paint! -

My stepson works for Ontario, something akin to homeland security and transportation..not exactly sure. He’s been stressed and slammed this week trying to keep up. -

I’m taking social distancing very seriously. I found a hidden park, (ok not hidden, just not popular) and had a nice long walk. I highly recommend this for stress! -
I’m meeting a fellow poster @JediMomfor lunch today. We had the same surgeon and surgery about a year apart. Super excited to meet her & to have tacos! Very casual place so I’m wearing my usual, do I get points for consistency?

I have that belt! You look great!

I think I’m the opposite of a lot of people. Now that I’ve lost weight I buy less clothing. It’s so easy to get dressed to go out, I just grab something out of my closet and I know it fits. I was constantly buying new clothes when I was overweight. Everyone looks fantastic btw!

Ignore the mini blinds please (baby steps with my spouse). Here is the smallest of the 3 windows.

I’m dying, this is SO ME. I made 3 cornices this weekend and was so proud. Now I’m worried when people will come over they will figure out that I made all 3 of them for a total of $60, and that I bought a duvet cover for the fabric.

I don’t agree with everything in moderation for myself. Certain foods seem to set off hunger or lead to bad habits for me. I try and limit my processed food to one meal a day, although I’ve let up a lot the past few months. I don’t eat fried food except on a rare occasion, and I do watch super carby foods like bread carefully. The Western diet is awful even in moderation, it’s hard for us to recognize and accept that. I do still like and enjoy food so I tweak recipes that fit in my plan. I had homemade pizza last night made with trader joe dough, 1/4 cup mozzarella and Italian chicken sausage, (400 calories). I make tacos with 96% fat free ground beef, at least 2 times a week and I use crunchy shells which are only 50 calories a piece. My taco dinner average 375 total calories. I make a lot of stir fry and I’ll have a 1/3 cup of rice with it which is enough to keep me sane. It’s a balancing act. I know if I start eating like I used to even in moderation, I’m headed in the wrong direction! If I feel super guilty about eating something I know there is a reason why. It takes awhile to figure out what works for you. -

I had my surgery one year before you minus one day. My starting weight was less than yours but percentage wise our loss rate is probably not far off. I looked back and in February 2019 I lost 40 pounds from my surgery weight (204). I was frustrated it wasn’t coming off faster but I dug deep and tried even harder because I refused to fail. I Lost another 30 pounds over the next 6 months and met my initial goal of 130 at one year. It’s so easy to give up when you feel like you are doing everything right but the weight is still coming off slowly. I viewed it as a make it or break it point for me. I know if I had given up I would have not stuck with the long term changes I’ve made and I probably would not have been able to even maintain that weight. The less you weigh the easier it gets to do physical activity which really helps in weight loss and confidence. Take full advantage of the next 6 months to keep your head in the game and be determined. You can do this if you want it bad enough. Don’t settle for less than your goal weight, you will regret not knowing your full potential. *I’m in maintenance now and I eat 1300 calories a day, which my Dr and nutritionist agree with. I would not have lost weight on 1200 a day.
