Hey gals!!!! I have been reading, reading, reading, and reading trying to get caught up. It has been over 30 days since I posted!! You guys are all doing awesome. I just absolutely love reading everyone's posts. Some happy, some sad--but all so true & real. I know this has been said before, but you all are the best group in the world!! It's offical. I've joined Bandland-and I am quite happy I might add. I had surgery 6/4/08, and have lost about 15lbs (since I started my pre-op). I know why they call this bandster hell though-I've pretty much stalled on my losses! It's frustrating-but I know it will get better. I am having my first fill on 7/11/08. Any of you wonderful gals going to be there that day? I would love, love, love to meet any/all of you!!!

Hey gals & guys! CONGRATULATIONS to all on your surgery dates!! WOOHOO!! My surgery is scheduled for June 4th! I start my pre-op diet on May 21. I am from Missouri, and am traveling to Colorado for the surgery. I can not wait to get this journey started!!!

I had my consultation with Paula yesterday. She was very nice. I didn't know what to expect, so I was very pleasantly surprised. It almost felt like a counseling session. So far I have been very impressed with Dr. Kirshenbaum and all of his staff. You are all doing awesome!! I see how well everyone is doing, but I have this fear that lapband isn't going to work for me. Did any of you have that fear? Am I being irrational now that my date is getting closer?? Yikes!! Leslie

Hellooooooooo all!! I am new to this site, and am excited to post that I am scheduled for lapband surgery with Dr. Kirshenbaum on 6/4/08!! I can't wait. I have been reading posts on this site for several months now, in fact, it's become an obsession!! I can't get enough! You all are wonderful-and I have enjoyed reading your posts!! A little about myself. I am 30 years old, and a mother of 2. I have an 8 year old son, and a 2 year old daughter! I have been happily married for 10 years, and my husband is supportive of my decision to have this surgery !!:biggrin: I can't wait to start this journey!
