Surgery is complete! Onto road to recover
pmreardon replied to Jon_gets_skinny's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Wishing you the very best in your recovery. My sleeve is on Wednesday, the 24th. I did't know there was a "leak test" - that sure makes a lot of sense! Take care! -
My surgery date is April 24th. I am nervous and yet excited. I know the future will be different and that scared me a bit, trying to wrap my mind around it. I see a therapist, so I have that under control. Most everyone on this thread has had surgery. I hope you are each healing well and stick around to give feedback and encouragement. My surgery is in Portland, Oregon with Dr. Valerie Halpin. She is fantastic.

Good afternoon fellow April Sleevers! I have finally been assigned a VSG surgery date: April 24, 2019. Yay. I am so excited and still so very nervous. Height: 5'6" SW: 356.2 Goal: 150 I'm having surgery in Portland, Oregon and Dr. Valerie Halpin is my surgeon. -
Hi there... I'm new to the forum and am in pre-surgery stage (submitted already to insurance, just waiting to hear back and get scheduled). Your topic interested me because I had to quit smoking in order to have this surgery. I quit by switching to a vape pen and Non-nicotine vape juice. It really helped me. A couple weeks later I gave up the vape pen too. I had been a smoker for over 20 years. I knew when I bought the vape pen I would only be using it temporarily, so the cost didn't bother me, since I had been buying cigarettes for so long. I just racked it up to the cost of quitting, and for me it was more sensible than nicotine patches or gum. I wish you the very best in this endeavor. Take care of you...
