About Me
Hello loves! Congrats or good luck to all of you that have either had or are thinking about having bariatric surgery! I wish you qll the best and nothing but the greatest success in your journeys! I had lapband surgery in 2011, long story short it didn't work for me. Shortly after I not only stopped losing weight but actually started gaining, worse yet i never put two and two together but i slowly started to get very sick. Since i was very young I've always had pain, fatigue, headaches and severe migraines.... but after the band i started a very deep decline in my health. My pain and fatigue was out of control. I could barely get out of bed, much less do any of the other basic human needs like showering or getting dressed. I finally got diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue along with a laundry list of other sickness.I never would have guessed that the lapband was adding to my misery! I had always had issues with my lapband but as the years passed it just got worse. I had every healthy food option that i put in my mouth get stuck constantly! I couldn't take it anymore so i decided with the advice of my endocrinologist that i needed to get that thing out of me! I think i wasted nearly a decade of my life because my parents paid fully for the band surgery and i felt defeated and ashamed of my non existent results from my last chance, life changing surgery! So darlings another very long story short i did my research and since i would be paying for the surgery out of pocket this time as well, i decided to do my revision surgery at the O.C.C. in Tijuana, Mexico. I figured since we have to do surgery to remove the band that i would also have the sleeve done while i was under. I got my band removed and my sleeve done 2/21/2019. I feel like this was the best decision i could have made for myself, not just because for the first time in forever the scale is moving in the right direction but because now that my band is out my pain and fatigue had lowered significantly! I knew that eating would be easier without the band and that the weight loss was the the cherry on top but i never would have guessed that the greatest part was feeling like i was alive again! My pain and fatigue will always remain but i am so grateful at how much they have lowered since my surgery!
