I need to figure out how to change my profile info so that it doesn’t say pre op anymore
-
I’m 3 years out from my surgery. I’ve maintained my goal and been the same weight (within 5 pounds) for the last 2 years. my husband used to sleep eat. When he quit drinking, he stopped sleep eating too. I’m not saying this is the case with you.

RachaelLou started following 3 years out and still afraid of gaining the weight back and Is it wrong or ok
-
There are days that I am actually HUNGRY and will eat more carbs than I usually would, but they are few and far between. So, I would say that it is ok. It is ok as long as it doesn’t become a daily trend. You have to listen to your body. My doctor has always stressed to stop eating when I am full. I think about this on the days when I am hungry: but, most days it’s not an issue. I am 3 years out and really good and picking my portion sizes.

3 years out and still afraid of gaining the weight back
RachaelLou posted a topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
HW - 237 LW - 137 (this was also my goal weight) CW - 155 I hit my goal weight 8 months after surgery (November 2019) but, by about 13 months out I was up to 150 pounds, and have been maintaining my weight in the 150’s ever since. I have maintained my weight here for two years and am comfortable, but still long to lose the 20 pounds I regained, and STILL fear gaining back all of the weight. -
March 27th surgery date

I’m reading many of these posts today. This was a major issue for me the first two months after my surgery. It’s important to realize everyone is different. I only lost 10 pounds my first month after surgery! I’m 4 months out now. I’ve lost 60 pounds.

Wow! You look great! Good job!

I have been losing very slowly. My highest weight was 237, I was 226 on the day of surgery. I’m 11 weeks out and have only lost 37 pounds. I’ve lost 48 pounds of you include the weight I lost during the liquid diet before surgery. It’s says somewhere online that you will lose 5-15 pounds/week, but that isn’t always that case. Hang in there.

That’s really good. Good job.

I was 237 the day before my liquid diet, 226 on surgery day (3/26/19) and I’m 202 today. I had the bypass. 24 pounds lost in 6 weeks and 2 days. So, I guess I am losing a half a pound each day.

I’m having trouble with water too. I’m also having major trouble with protein. The only thing I’m actually good at is vitamins. I hope this gets easier.

I’ve only lost 24 pounds. My surgery was the 26th

I’m 5.5 weeks post op and I’ve only lost 23 pounds
