    Anyone NOT track their calories?

I think you should try to coordinate with your WLS doctor and your therapist for the best plan for you. Your situation is unique, and I want you stay healthy in both body AND mind. You deserve nothing less. 💙 Good luck, and congratulations on all of your success so far!

    Taking vitamins

Hi! Could you try a beep timer on your phone, or a watch, to help remember? I use one on my phone and it helps keep me on track when I am super busy and am most likely to forget. I also use a med organizer like this one below so, at a glance, I can see what I have/haven't taken that day. I can take each individual day with me if I am going to be out too without any trouble. You will come up with a system that works best for you- Good luck! CLICK HERE
  10. With jeans and pants you can try this method: 1. Turn the pants wrong side out. 2. Put them on and button/zip them up. (Still wrong side facing out.) 3. Start pinching the excess fabric places and carefully pin them with straight pins in a line that somewhat follows the original contours. 4. Carefully remove the pants and leave wrong side out. 5. Take to the machine and stitch on your new "line". Be sure to back stitch starts and stops for extra strength. 6. Remove all of your pins and try on. (Can readjust if needed.) You may wish to cut off the extra fabric once you are satisfied with the look. Hope this makes sense and helps!
  11. Ok, so, it is super weird to quote myself 😜- but I thought I'd update this since it has now been three months since my surgery. 1.Blending in a crowd- Check! I no longer stand out so much and feel so awkward. 2.Gardening/ Breathing- Check! Just finished getting the garden winter ready wthout any trouble at all. 3.Feeling like I am taking back some control over my own body- Check(ish)! This is sooo much better already, but I realize this will always be a lifelong process for me.... 4.Being able to help someone down the road- Check! My friend is consulting for WLS now and, while I am hardly any kind of expert(!), it feels good to share my own personal insights with her. 5.Breaking up with CPAP- Almost there... turned the pressure way down, Doctor expects me to be done in a few months. (Whoo hoo!) 6.Never making a goals list based on weight, well, that sucker is a done deal too. I still make those goal lists, they are just not weight based quite so much. I hope those of you who are still pre surgery and dreaming about that fabled someday goal see that, like myself, what once seemed like "pipe dream" type goals really ARE coming your way. Some of them faster than you would have ever believed. Dream big! 💙

    June 2019 Surgery Siblings!

Hi! Sounds like you are doing well, that is awesome! I am feeling pretty great now myself. I am able to meet protein goals with real food and get all the vitamins in OK. I still hate drinking all that d@mn water, but I do it anyway. LOL! My only small setback was needing my gallbladder out at 10 weeks from surgery, and that went pretty smooth too. Can't complain! Glad to hear from a fellow Juner!
  14. Tried doing a search, but could not find any info specific to this... I have been taking omeprazole 40 mg since my surgery 3 months ago, as instructed by my Doctor. I have been told to now discontinue it, and I have, but i am now experiencing what feels like rebound symptoms like a burning sensation in my pouch. (This started within 2 days of stopping the med.) Not a lot of fun!!! Is this something others have experienced? Does it resolve over time? I will speak to my Doctor- just curious about other's experiences. Thanks so much!

    Stopping Omeprazole-

Hi! Thanks for replying and the well wishes. I actually had the bypass due to pre-surgery GERD that was pretty bad.

    Favorite Scent of Poo Pourri!

Well, since I am both crappy AND craftsy, I just make my own. Easy to do, and, once you have the stuff, makes lots of batches of it for very little comparitive cost. With three large smelly guys in my house, I can testify that it works as well for us as the brand name stuff. Plus, you can change up the scent to anything you please anytime you wish. Are ya feeling fall today? Pumpkin spice poo spray, maybe? LOL... Here are several "recipes" for it linked in the post below: https://sincerelysaturday.com/homemade-poo-pourri-how-to-make-diy-no-2-spray-printable-labels-included/ If the above link doesn't make you flush with DIY pride, Pinterest is another good place to find your very own perfect DIY poo spray recipe. Happy crapping crafting y'all!
