On the small incision I picked it off after 10 days and they were completely sealed and healed by then. Now I have little dots on my belly!

I noticed that if I don't time my intake (pureed foods, protein and water) at an hourly/bihourly rate, I do feel hunger. Try timing your intake and maybe that can help. Make sure each hour something is going into the stomach. I hope this helps.

Ripple protein shakes (at Target)
koketika replied to maiqi's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
They are delicious!!! -
Buy Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides and add it to your broth. It's a great way to get some of the protein into your system. Avoid juicing as it can be too rich for your new stomach.

If you click on your name on the top, there's a section called my Surgey and under that area you can find your surgeon and post a review about them. But not all surgeon are included in the database.

Is there's an easy way to add your sugeon when they aren't on the database? Mine isn't on it and I haven't found a direct to add him in a provisional way to be able to give him review.

Did your surgeon want you to lose weight before you got surgery
koketika replied to Summer56's topic in The Gals' Room
I was told to lose 15 lbs, which I did, and then be on a liquid 2 days pre-op. -
I was warned about the gas on the day of the pre-op visit and they told to walk around to avoid it. I'm 8 days post op now and I learned that if I move and keep sipping liquids during regular intervals it helps not get gassy.

Anyone had surgery done in New York?
koketika replied to shanshan's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
I just had my surgery in NYC, but I did it at the Mount Sinai St. Luke's with Dr. E. Harvey. He was great and excellent bedside manners. -
I was told that I shouldn't wear one until 4 weeks post op. 😐

Sleeping after VSG?
koketika replied to strangecar's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I've been sleeping propped up with pillows all over to get my nightly rest. -
If you mean drinking alcohol, wait at least 6-8 months before you try 1 drink.

Stomach can’t handle protein.. SO hungry
koketika replied to larissasmith07's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm on the clear liquid phase and I can't stomach my protein powders, but I learned a way to consume it. Vital Proteins has a flavorless Collagen peptides that I add to a lipton chicken noodle soup broth and I've been able to consume my 60 grs that way. It dissolves lightly and doesn't change the consistency of the liquid.
