Had mine on 2/13 with robotics and went home after 1 day. I had no problems went to work the following Monday after surgery on Wednesday. Mine is a desk job now days, but 2 people had surgery a day apart and both were back to work at the same time and a 3rd person had surgery done last October and was off only a few days. We all followed the restrictions that we received from the doctors and the support groups and the biggest issue from anyone may have been the amount of liquid to intake right after surgery. Within a few days a couple of us were able to intake 4 to 8 ounces of liquid over a 15 minute to 30 minute time frame 1 person had a hard time with just swallows of liquid but eventually was able to increase liquid intake. Some gas for one of the people caused a little pressure but they got up and walked around and relieved the pressure feeling. I sleep in a recliner for 2 weeks to make sure that i would have no issues lying down to sleep at night. I had no problems sleeping like that and when I finally slept in my bed there were no issues. Good luck follow the restrictions and you should do great.

I was told no carbonated drinks after surgery. Not going there at all

Miralax is good but I also added Benafiber to help with this. I talked to my doctor at a post op appointment and was told a fiber supplement was not a problem. Make sure you drink plenty of water with taking a supplement also.

try Premier Protein drinks, you can get them thru Sam's club, Walmart or Amazon. they are low sugar and 30 grams of protein and they have at least 5 different flavors. I use the chocolate and add 8 oz of Fair life milk and end up with 43 oz of protein drink. Give it a try

I had the surgery on a Wednesday, come home on Thursday then was at home resting until Monday. Monday went into work for a half day and went home (I was tired). I have been to work every day since then. The toughest part was having my wife drive me for the week until i had my post op meeting with the doctor to be released to drive. My job is a desk job that is sedentary, but we are familiar with the surgery in our office as there are four of us that have had the surgery on Wednesday or Tuesday and all came back to work after the weekend. Working is better than sitting around waiting to go back to work and anyone with concerns on how it appears to others, being off a short time will soon be forgotten. good luck I hope all goes well

I had surgery on the 13th of Feb and they told me not to take my insulin( i take two different shots for a total of 4 per day) my sugar has been down around 110 in testing. hoping i can keep it in that range forever. my primary doc told me to monitor it and if the numbers start to elevate later we will have to look at the options. Good luck and i hope it works well for you
