My vitamins are chewable as well, and I whole heartedly agree, yuck! I eat them with a sugarfree popsicle, and found them much easier to tolerate. good luck!

Outlinedspider, no the egg drop soup I get is only scrambled eggs in thickened chicken broth. it still needs to be pureed, but it doesn't really affect the flavor or the consistency. -

I was also had sleeve surgery on the 19th. I am down 20 lbs. I know what you mean about the jello and pudding, but for me it is yogurt and protein shakes!! I am loving the egg drop soup though. Homemade or takeout, though I have to say takeout is the best. Poached eggs and cottage cheese and pineapple pureed are also up on my list! -
Life Changing Decision

My doctor is so busy, it took 6 months to get a date and then the date was 3 months away. I have to say though, it was worth the wait! I am only 10 days out, and I am doing great. No pain that a couple of Tylenol couldn't handle, no nausea, and I am down 15 pounds since surgery. -
I take procare health bariatric multivitamin with 45 mg iron chewable. I'm not a big fan of the grittiness, but I found eating a sugarfree popsicle with it helps get it down. I do love that it has everything except the calcium in it and it is a one a day! You could try eating it with pudding or applesauce, something to coat the stomach might help.

jodster64, hang in there. That is more than a pound a day! I don't know how much you want to lose, but a pound a day is really great. Kmanigat, sorry you are had trouble with the egg. I had a little trouble with hardboiled eggs, but poached egg, done very lightly, goes down easy. Good luck. -
Any March 2018 Sleevers?

Looking great! Keep up the good work! -
I'm one week and one day out, and although I am never really hungry, I can eat 2 poached eggs without any issues but it takes me 2 sittings to get an 11 oz protein shake down. I add the sugar free protein powder to it so I get the protein I need. Water is easy though. I can drink 48 oz a day easily, so with the shake , a small v8, and a cup of soup I am right in the fluid requirement range. I think it is because I like my poached eggs lightly poached, so they are very thin and just slide down once pureed.

I am a week pos-op and I am doing great. I have been taking care of myself since I got home. I am 63, by the way, I did a lot of prep work though. I filled the kitchen with the fluids and pureed food that i need post-op. It made the first couple of days home much easier. Other than the diarrhea (sorry if that is TMI) I have had no issues. My surgery was done laparoscopic so I have 5 small incisions, and the one that they used to remove the portion of my stomach that was removed through was sore for about 4/5 days, but I didn't need anything but tylenol for the pain. If you don't feel that your doctor is giving you enough information, keep on pressing for answers. You are paying him/her for their services and you have the right to know everything! If you aren't comfortable with this doctor, maybe you need to find one that you are more comfortable with. You will need to have a long term relationship with your doctor and their team. Good luck!

I had my Surgery on the 19th. Was in for a Duodenal switch, but due to a drop in my O2 levels, my surgeon quit after the sleeve was done. I started my weight loss journey in May of 2018 at 399 pounds. I am 63 and 5'5". I lost 63 pounds prior to surgery, and at 9 days out now, I am down another 13 pounds. I am a little worried that I am doing too well after surgery. By that I mean, I have been able to eat everything I have tried, no nausea, very little pain, and I am never really hungry. Getting all my pills down with just sips of water is a challenge, takes me forever a sip at a time.
