  1. I am at week 6, 3 days until week 7, and my husband suggested we go out to eat together. I think he is just looking foward to me being a cheap date. LOL! I am thinking seafood. Some baked or grilled fish and steamed vegetables. He can share his or I will have lots of leftovers to bring home. [emoji4] Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

Going out to eat for the first time pos-op.

I did end up eating out, but it was a spur of the moment thing, and I wasn't hungry. My husband was and ordered a Reuben. I had a bite of his corned beef, but just the meat, no bread or dressing. He still owes me a meal, lol. I most definitely was a cheap date that day. LOL Preplanning is the key. Check out the menu ahead of time, and plan what you can eat. Ask for a take out box with your meal and put what is more than you should/can eat in there before you even start to eat. Have a great time!!

I use both, depending on what I use it for. Powder for baking, liquid in my oatmeal and such. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

Yes, no coconut sugar for us, but I will use Stevia as a substitute. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

NP, we make it at home as well, but we were out shopping and it caught my eye. Will be doing that way from now on. Need to find a recipe for the sushi cauliflower rice though. Pinterest here I come. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

Sushi, yum. I had a sushi made with riced cauliflower the other day. Got it at Whole Foods. It was good!! Hang in there, you will get there. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

Got sick this morning. Fever, chills, vomiting and diarrhea. It is apparently going around. My daughter has it too, so needless to say, no restaurant for me today. Maybe next weekend😔

Nights spent in the hospital after sleeve surgery?

    Robotic gastric sleeve

My was on 2/19, and I am doing great. Very little post-op pain, and what I did have was relieved by walking. I didn't use any pain pills after the first day post -op, just Tylenol. No nausea or vomiting. I had diarrhea for the first week until my Dr. took me off the laxative and stool softener. I lost about 1 or 2 pounds a day the first month, but had a stall weeks 5 and 6. Back to loosing 1 pound a day by end of week 6. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

4wks post. Have not lost in 2 weeks

Same here. I am at week 6 and from week 4 to week 6 no weight loss, after dropping at least a pound a day for the first 4 weeks. This week I am back to about a pound a day. Hang in there. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Post menopausal women only please!

I am 10 years postmenopausal and had my surgery 3/19. Thank goodness I have had no issues with spotting or anything like that!! If I had heard of that being a possibility, I am not sure I would have had the surgery. I had endometriosis quite bad when I was still having my period, and I wouldn't risk that again for anything! Try pureed egg drop soup. It was a life saver for me. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Liquid Diet

My favorite was and still is egg drop soup. I pureed it until I was transitioning to solids and now I can drink it without pureeing. I make my own as well as getting it from the local Chinese restaurant. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

Has anyone had a band over their sleeve?

Have you thought of getting a Duadenal Switch? I was supposed to have that surgery, but I had some breathing difficulties while intubated. They cut my surgery short, only doing the sleeve portion of the procedure, so they could get me of the respirator. I intend to go back in in a couple of months to have the surgery completed. The gastric bypass portion of the procedure will make the weight come off much faster, and you are able to eat a lot more, because you don't absorb most of what you eat. OK no judging please

I made it 2 days short of my 4 weeks before I ate anything not pureed (with my doctors permission). It was St Patrick's day (and my husband's birthday) and I had corned beef and carrots. I could only eat 2 oz of meat and one baby carrot, but it was divine!!! You can do it! It isn't worth the risk of blowing out your stitches, eating before you are cleared by your doctor, and carbonated beverages will fill you sleeve up with gas, and that would be so painful. I am rooting for you!

    Had to share great news

CONGRATULATIONS 🍾🥂 Remember that there will be stalls from time to time, and don't let them get you down. Just keep with the program and the numbers on the scale will continue to plummet!

Terrified I’m going to stretch my pouch

I am 5 weeks out, and I know that if I don't stop eating the second I feel full, I feel it, and regret it! Eat slowly, chew until it is almost liquified, and keep your portions under 4 oz. You will do great.

Preparing for surgery, very scared. Tips??

I am 5 weeks out and I got some great advice before my surgery, that I will pass along. Stock up you pantry before your surgery, with quick and easy post op foods. I got concentrated bone broth so I could make a mug at a time. I got cream of wheat, Triple Zero greek yogurt, Premier protein shakes, and lots of eggs. I found eggs were my best friends. Also having egg drop soup delivers from my local Chinese restaurant was a regular event the first few weeks. You will do great!

    Sleeved 3/18/19... horrible pain

I had the gas pains when I had my gallbladder removed, and after my tubal ligation surgery, hot showers helped. Luckily I had no gas pains after my sleeve surgery. I was dreading it and was so pleased when it didn't happen. Hang in there it dosen't last forever!

    No weight loss

I am 5 weeks out this week, and was dropping 1 to 2 pounds a day until week 4 when I regained 4 pounds and then the scale stalled. I have arthritis in both knees and they have flaired up pretty bad this past 2 weeks so walking has been going slow. I am hoping that this is the cause of the stall, but it can't explain the gain. I start aquatic exercise next week. Wish me luck. I lost 80 pounds before my surgery, and I am just getting discouraged that it has slowed to a stall after.

    Shape Lifters....

I would think it depends on if you had laproscpic surgery or conventional surgery, and how tight the garment is. I had laproscpic surgery on February 19th and I put on my spanks one week later. I was very comfortable, but they aren't overly restrictive.
