My surgeon, Dr. Fielding @ NYU, has had his lap band for nine years and he's doing great...He looks quite svelte.

Hi, I would also like to know what kind of pre-op diet you were on. I am being banded on Aug 15 and I have to be on "liquids only" for 2 weeks. I'm terrified of having an open band procedure. -
Any suggestions for mushies for a person who doesnt cook. I will buy soups but any other suggestions...Microwaving is not a problem.

Yesterday I got my surgery date (Aug 15) with Dr. Fielding @ NYU....Hang in there...Its a process but I know it will be worth it...I think the team @ NYU is the best.... -

I have an appt with Dr. Fielding on 6/17. How was your experience? Did you have to spend the night in the hospital? I still havent decided between lap band and bypass which is why I would like to hear anything you have to say about your surgery...I'm 57 and want to lose the weight quickly..

Aetna Insurance questions - help please

I have Aetna also....I had to do the 6 month diet and I had to have a recorded history of obesity for 2 years. The history can come from any doctor ie. OB/GYN or a combination of doctors that combined show that you have a total of 2 years of recorded obesity from an MD. -
How much weight did you lose from the removal of skin?

Hi, I did not lose any weight during my 6 month pre-surgery diet plan...in fact I gained a bit.....Will I have a probelm getting insurance approval because of this? Has this happend to anyone? Leslee
