I'm not trying to increase my calorie intakein trying to get the 64g of protein in a day that the Dr told me to. I'm doing 30-45 mins of cardio a day plus about 5 days of weight training just to keep lean muscle and I only asked ffora personal trainer for one time for 1 hour to Shiite me how to use some of the equipment and have good stance so I wouldn't hurt my bank which isn't at all what he did! He had me doing a bunch of stuff I told him wasn't what I was looking for. No I'll never go see him again. Just trying to ease into the weight lifting stuff and I think he was just kind of an ass. I go to the gym a couple times a day because I like to start the day off with a little cardio and mid day or evening I like to go back and lift or get in the pool and aqua job. No one is making me. I'm looking for things to do that I enjoy and don't revolve around food. I have a 3 yo and I can bring her with and drop her at the daycare or she can come swimming our whatever. It's just a place that I feel really good about myself at and can beingmy kid. Sent from my LG-Q710AL using BariatricPal mobile app

4 weeks post op food ideas??
Jezzabelle360 replied to Emma2.0's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I like to skin a tomato and puree it with a little cottage cheese and add salt and pepper....what else...yogurt... the puree was really really hard for me because I didn't have a lot of variety. I squeezed out the inside of cheese ravioli and ate it with a little spaghetti sauce with NO CHUNKS. I found it I sucked on little cubes of reduced fat cheese cheddar especially kind of melts in your mouth. Sent from my LG-Q710AL using BariatricPal mobile app -
Eating for the first time did NOT go well!
Jezzabelle360 posted a topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I made a hard boiled egg and used 2tsp of low fat mayo and then thinned it with pickle juice until it was applesauce consistency. My written out diet said to eat a quarter to a half a cup. I served myself a quarter. I ate about 3Tbsp of it. I ate it at 12:30... I was in SO MUCH PAIN I felt like it needed to come out one way or anther until 9:30 pm. I felt nauseas the whole time but never threw up. I was alone and afraid of what throwing up my do to my incisions. (I had surgery on March 14th I'm 12 days post op) I couldn't eat or drink or get out of my bed (because I also ended up getting extremely cold) today I'm afraid to eat or drink. I did force 1Tbsp of yogurt in and I'm trying to drink too but not doing well. I never want to eat again. I feel so anxious. Anyone else expierience this and have any idea where I went wrong??? Maybe I ate too much? Maybe low get mayo is not ok? Maybe I used too much pickle juice? Sent from my LG-Q710AL using BariatricPal mobile app -
They told me I had 6 ports during my surgery. There are 6 slices on my abdomen but I also have noticed that my belly button is cut. I dreamt that my belly button was crusty but now it really is. I'm not sure if it's from the surgery or not. Anyone wise have issues week ugh their belly button after our know if that's a typical place for them to cut? Wow! Great job! I was 299hw 286sw and 3 weeks post op I'm 250. My high school weight was 175 and I'd be ok with that but I'm hoping to get into a healthy BMI which for me its 118-140. But you look really great at that weight! I would love to look just like that! I also have a G cup and wonder what that will get down to. Sent from my LG-Q710AL using BariatricPal mobile app -

Hello Marissa! Congrats and welcome to the club! I just had my surgery a couple weeks ago. For starters I remember being really excited and the feeling of wanting it to feel real and doing the things within my power to get going lol. The Drs will instruct you on your journey of what to do and all the different people on here have different instructions. Make sure to follow what your Dr has laid out for a plan. I did small things like I bought tiny silverware to practice eating smaller bites and eating slower and measuring out 2TBSP and 1/4 cup of whatever I was eating first so I could get used to the visual of what that looks like because my Drs kept saying that after m my surgery I would only be able to eat about 2TBSP and eventually 1/4-1-2 cup. I also bought some bracelets from Amazon with lbs lost and encouraging words on them to mark my small victories. These we're just a few small things I could do that made me feel likeTHIS IS HAPPENING!!!! PS my surgery went really really well. There are always parts of getting used to your new life that will b be a struggle but you get over those humps. There are lots of nice, encouraging, knowledgeable, and helpful people here and your Drs office are always available too! Sent from my LG-Q710AL using BariatricPal mobile app

I know I've been on here a few times to discuss my diet. I had surgery March 14th 2019 (bypass) and I can't seem to get things in. I can't drink enough or eat the puree like I'm supposed to. It's Saturday at almost 2am and I'm on the couch sobbing. My stomach has been growling. I almost burst into tears tonight when we were out for my boyfriends birthday dinner with his family but I didn't. I held it together. I can't figure out how to make this all work. I think I'm severely dehydrated and literally starving. I have a few things going on that are complicating things for me and they are both so dumb. One is that I have multiple friends who've had this surgery done that are insisting that I do this or that, that I shouldn't be on purees yet. I have a neighbor I frequently hang out with that has A friend who's had this surgery so she thinks she knows all about it and is trying to tell me what to do and how I should feel. The other thing is that I'm really normally a very tough person. No one is used to seeing me hurt or struggle. I'm not the type to complain. I'm a lead singer in two different bands and I've taken seriously bad falls off the stage and chipped bones once and split my face open on another occasion and just kept rolling with the night so everyone just thinks I feel nothing but this is different. It's not the pain that bothers me and to me the pain wasn't even so bad it's that every time I feel pain or just something different it's scary because it could be an indicator to something being wrong and I get really anxious. I'm so grateful for this forum because honestly it's the one place I can come and not only be vulnerable and honest and know the people here won't just say hey you're right Jezz, you'll be fine. I don't even know what this post is about. It's the mad rantings of a hungry, tired, frustrated person trying to figure it out. I just feel lost and I can't wait until Monday so I can call my Dr and get help. I'm just REALLY afraid to eat and feel like I'm waisting away. Not getting protein. Again I'm so sorry. (Half of me hopes no one reads this, the other half of me is praying that someone completely relates with me because I feel crazy) Sent from my LG-Q710AL using BariatricPal mobile app

So I found a protein drink that I really like and I'm thinning it out with low fat fair life milk and that's making me feel a lot better. I also today found this little squeeze bottle of calorie free flavor that I LOVE. I actually have to make myself slow down lol!!! Feeling better now! Thank you all. I'm not an emotional eater but when I'm tired I can get emotional. Also I didn't know about the estrogen being stored in the fat. I also have a disorder where I have more testosterone than estrogen so perhaps I'm not used to this aligh amount of estrogen being released lol. I heard you all loud and clear. FOCUS ON HYDRATION. Can you give me the name of a safe and good tasting clear liquid protein shake so I can make the popsicles out of them! And what are the snow cones mentioned above?!?!? I had surgery on March 14th and still have not been able to lay in my bed. I've been sleeping in the recliner and it's KILLING my back! Anyone else find it painful to lay in bed on their side because of the weight of your own stomach? How long before you were able to do it? Sent from my LG-Q710AL using BariatricPal mobile app
