I think that would be great! Count me in!!

Thanks for the "pat on the back" Marci! I am one of those who have "only" lost 50 pds. I have been rather disappointed with myself at times, but then I think back to how I was a year ago and I'm SO glad I'm not there anymore! I don't even mind looking at myself in a mirror now. A year ago I was appauled to see myself in a mirror and didn't "know" who that person even was looking back at me. I have a long way to go but am confident that I will get there. The lapband isn't the quick weightloss method - it works slowly over 5 yrs. My goal is to lose another 50 pds this next year! I am going in for a fill today, hopefully I'll get put to 9cc's in my 10 cc band and really feel restriction. I also need to stop cheating myself and sneaking things that are no-no's. I am really going to buckle down now and get serious about losing weight. Have a great week everyone and keep up the good work!

Marci - You have done great! I wish I could say I had lost 80 pds since my 1 yr band anniversary, but I am at this point just hoping to get to -50! I have been stuck in the -40s since Oct. Its so frustrating. What have you done that I may not be doing? I have gotten fills and am up to 8cc's, and am scheduled for another fill on the 15th.

Wow LInda - you have done an awesome job! How did you do it? I too was banded in May of 06 and have only lost 49 pds. I have been stuck in the -40s since Oct of 06. I have gotten fills and am up to 8cc's in my 10cc band. I have an appt on the 15th for another fill. I am a bit disappointed, I had hoped to be in onederland by now. Any advice?

Its defintely improved alot since I've lost weight - and hopefully will get even better. For a change now I"m the one who initiates it instead of dh!

Are you exercising? I know for me that I need to start doing that again too. I"m stuck at the same weight loss since mid-Oct. and i know what you mean about being discouraged.

Before and After Lap Band Surgery - PICTURES ONLY
wiggygiggy replied to DeLarla's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I am 5 months post op as of today and can finally see some progress! Here are my before pics (well actually the pics are prior to surgery but I lost 14 pds before surgery with the pre-op diet) And my pictures as of today. I have such a goofy grin on my face in the pre-op one, LOL -
Yup - I called the Dr this am and I need to get an unfill - I'm too tight. Haven't been able to keep anything but water down so far today. I couldn't get in until tomorrow at 10 so it'll be 48 hrs for me without any nourishment!

Count me in....I'm at a standstill and need an incentive to get things happening again. I'm at 240.8 right now. I need to update my siggie again.

I'm not able to keep any liquids down at this point. I drank a glass of water fine at the office - alittle frothy, but got it all down. Then at home things really got bubbly and I've pb'd probably 3 times now - just the liquid. I tried jello - 2 bites - up it came. Now I'm not going to try to eat anything or drink anything the rest of the night - give it a chance to settle down. Hopefully tomorrow morning I"ll be able to keep liquids down.

I just had my 3rd fill today (8cc's in a 10cc band) and have been very burpy, bubbly, and even had some PBing (twice) whats up with that? Am I too tight? I've only had water so far and part of a shake. What I pb'd was just phlem. Should I take a Tums or Rolaids or something? This is embarrassing - people can hear my tummy rumbling! LOL

10 CC band- How many CCs to get restriction?
wiggygiggy replied to Leona06's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I have an 11 cc band and am filled to 6 cc's so far in two fills and fill no restriction at all yet. I think its different for everyone. -
I'm still maintaining the weight I've lost but haven't lost anymore! Hopefully things will start to move along in the weight loss department once I get that fill tomorrow. Right now I can just about eat anything and everything I want - but I do stop when I "think" I feel full.

:rolleyes I need some help - things are stopped, and occasionally go up a few pds too - very disappointing. I can't wait to get another fill - this one did nothing for me! I started exercising last week - weights and treadmill - I need more motivation I guess. I need a swift KICK IN THE ASS!!

How long after real food do you start to lose again?
wiggygiggy replied to juliegeraci's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
What sort of exercise did you start doing to help things start moving? I've been stuck for well over 4 weeks now and its getting depressing! I'm trying to watch what I eat, and started walking on the treadmill last week -still nothing has changed. -
I feel no restriction at all - I can eat every thing and anything I put in my mouth. I do feel full eventually, but not until I've eaten about as much as I use to. Fortunetly I haven't gained any weight - just maintaining at -38 pds. I'm going to try and do the 3 day diet starting tomorrow to hopefully kick things into action PLUS I'm going to go and work out at the gym starting this week. MWF this week, TTH next week, etc. I have to get things moving again. I want to lose another 12 pds here so I can say I've lost 50 pds! Come on Deb, get your fat ass in gear!!

I finally reached my first mini-goal which was to weigh less than I weighed on our wedding day 4 yrs ago and today I reached that goal! I'm so pumped up! :clap2: :clap2: Now to focus on my next mini-goal!!
-
:clap2: I made my first mini goal today. It was to weigh less than I weighed when we got married 4 yrs ago (243) and today I stepped on the scale and it said 242! :clap2: I "think" I feel some restriction?? Its just when I take the first bite of food though. Its not a good feeling at all, so I need to be more careful about chewing my food, esp on that first bite! I"m on a roll again. Next mini-goal is 230 pds, hope to be there by the time I get my next fill on Aug 7th.

Yeah - I miss the bacquardi/diet cokes, but can live without them. I like the lightness taste of the crystal lite and vodka - not a heavy taste and no carbonation. I'll have to try freezing them - perfect idea to take along camping!

I found a drink that I can have when I want to unwind at the end of a busy week. I probably can't order it when we go out or anything, but at least I can make my own. I use a shot of vodka, ice, and fill the glass with Raspberry Ice Crystal Ice. Its so good and refreshing. Now I don't feel like I'm missing anything. I just have to not make it a habit of having one every night or having too many at once.
