  1. Starbucks has a small bag of butter popcorn that I loved. It tasted to me like it had a hint of salted lime. I think it's 140 calories per bag which lasted 4 days for me. Going to get some

    Vitamins

I was told to take active advantage multi and calcium chews. Both are pretty good. I was able to tolerate them. I'm approved to take the one a day version now for my multi, but will continue the calcium chews.
  4. I think I understand how you might have felt. I didn't have as serious anxiety attack, but did have a lot of self talk reminding myself of the greater good. Fortunately I was already on the operating table when it hit the hardest. I recall telling the anesthesiologist I was feeling anxious..... Next thing I know, I'm in recovery with my husband by my side. That was February 11, 2019 and about 45 pounds lighter.

    Pounds lost

I'm at 2 months out and only down 25 lbs. Surgery day-207. Today 182. I had a stall that began my second week for 12 days. Rather disappointed overall.
  6. I have several lumps at incision sites. It is accumulated fluids that should ego dissolve.

Anyone get their sleeve February 2019

I am at 3 weeks post open today and feeling really well. I am in the mushies phase and not having too many issues. I have to really focus on chewing well and slowing down. Otherwise I'm in pain and the foaming occurs. I went into a stall at my 2nd week and finally after 8 days may be beginning to move the scale. 21 days and only 11 pounds lost. I had this surgery at the suggestion of several specialists due to abnormal cells on my liver which were also removed. I also had my gallbladder removed in December. The lap sleeve for me is a tool that I will use to not continue to yo yo which sickens my liver. I need to remember that and try not to focus so much much on the losses. But it is so hard after being told over and over that I will lose 30-50 lbs in 3 months.

Anyone get their sleeve February 2019

In the beginning it is difficult. Take heart, it does get easier. My nutritionist suggested getting an unflavored protein powder to enhance any beverages and any foods consumed. I purchased Isopure zero carb unflavored whey protein. It has 25 grams of protein per scoop which I mix with 20 ounces of crystal lite. It's really very tolerable. It can also be sprinkled on yogurt and cottage cheese, eggs to elevate protein. I measure out a scoop for the day and use it up throughout the day.

Anyone get their sleeve February 2019

I'm getting discouraged. I had my sleeve on the 11th and have only lost 10 pounds in 15 days. Been in a stall for 5 days. 😟 It feels like a full time job getting in my protein and fluids.

I think I understand why the worrying. This is a huge opportunity to get healthy and an investment in ourselves.

    Getting ready for DS......

On my first 2 days, I was on a clear liquid diet, and truthfully had to force my self to ensure I took in enough fluids. You will likely feel the same. I was not the least bit hungry. After moving on to a full liquid diet, I continued to conscientiously focus on ensure I met my protein intake goals and fluid intake as I still have no appetite. I mostly drank Premier protein shakes (30 grams protein) and (Isopure drinks (20 grams protein). I've found it helpful to sometimes microwave 1/2 a shake and drink it like cocoa. I don't do a whole one though because it takes me 2 hours to drink 1/2. I've had a couple of sugar free jellos and popsicles are my new favorite. I journal every thing to track my intake of protein and liquids. You'll find your groove. Good luck

    7 Days post op

I had my surgery on the 11th and am still nauseous also. My Dr said to try to up my water intake to help flush the anesthesia and pain meds. New pureed foods also don't help that unsettled feeling. I'm sure it will pass soon. Good luck to you!

    sleep study

Hi. I had a sleep apnea test as part of my insurance approval process because my BMI was too low to qualify without 2 other co-morbid issues. Maybe that's why they want you to be tested? In my case I did have mild sleeve apnea which qualified me. I did get a CPAP, which actually helps me sleep better. Good luck. The process is a roller coaster.
