Just curious did anyone else end up with a surprise hernia repair? I feel better today but now wondering how the hell they expect me to take all these meds that have to be crushed and are not a delight to take;) all of them but 2 have to be crushed urg!!! But on the plus side I’m finally going pee and had a bm and that did make my stomach feel somewhat better yay!

I finally went pee and I’m already home:) omg:) so happy to be home, my son don’t know I’m here so he will get a surprise ha ha. Now just to figure out how to get all these liquid and protein requirements in my body. I found out the top of my stomach hurts more because I had a hernia repaired while I was under. Mine came out at 6 and I have not had pain meds since 2am but ready to just so I can get a nap omg I’m so tired. I did get the pump thing on my stomach and get to keep it for 5 days, thank god I don’t have to go anywhere ha ha. I still am having some pressure in the top of my stomach near my ribs and can’t get a deep breath but I’m not gonna stop trying:) Hope you can pee soon!

I get migraines as well so I’m sorry for your pain. How many protein shakes can you have per day? It seems different drs allow different things are you allowed other items besides the shakes?

Hopefully so, I love hospitals.. not ha ha every few hours someone has to open the door, guy from the lab came in at 3:30 very happy telling me have a good day. They did just come in and give me gabapentin (so) and liquid Tylenol and a few teaspoons of water which went down well.. shew!! And the cath is coming out in a few minutes. Yay!!!

They had the water on ad off full run and drip drip and nothing:( It is a little after midnight and cath will come out at 6am and I get to start trying again. I also think that is when I get to try to drink water. Today was nothing not even water.

Had to get Cath put in urg!!

I brought most of things everyone listed and my Sherpa blanket. Everything feels ok except my stomach really hurts because I can’t pee!! Been trying for 4 hours off n on and can’t go ugh!! I feel like I need to but just can’t this sucks! I’m doing the breathing exercises and everything just that 1 thing I can’t seem to get thru!! Hope everyone is doing great and if I don’t say it later.. Best wishes and luck for anyone who goes tomorrow!!

Oh yes the chapstick!!

So, what is everyone taking to the hospital? I have my phone charger, a robe, change of clothes and the regular bathroom stuff. Can anyone think of anything else? OH and the copies for cardiac clearance LOL:)

You will be great, I have been on the liquid diet for 2 weeks and I thought that I would NEVER make it but I have it does get easier I promise:) Best of luck tomorrow no matter what you decide.

Ok, surgery tomorrow and why is it so hard to receive a fax? My cardiologist has now faxed clearance 3 times omg!! I am very happy I took off this whole week so I could drive and get the stupid paper in hand and deliver it to the Bariatrics Dr omg! They told me to make sure I take a copy just to make sure things go ok tomorrow... really omg:( I have tried to make sure this is all done and yet the leave me stressing for tomorrow..sigh. Come on 5:30am so I can get this started and over!!

Clothes are laid out ready for Tuesday and to stay busy tomorrow I planned a fun day at the dentist LMAO.. Going to the dentist for a deep cleaning really should keep my mind off things for a long while:) Everyone in the house is ready I think... I have let them eat whatever as usual because it is me that needs to change and I am hoping that maybe once I can eat real food again they will come around. I have been around every food temptation and think I have handled it very well even with my 11 yr old son in the car with fries:) yummmm fries:) Good luck for everyone who has surgery tomorrow wishing you all the best.

I have many days now I wish I would have cheated because I am so hungry omg. But today started my liquid only diet and I am SO over all these damn protein shakes ugh! I can't wait until Tuesday even tho I know I will still be on all these liquids:( Come on April 30th I can't wait for mushies.

I would not worry about it, my surgery is on the 9th and I have only lost 6 pounds and i'm on all liquids with the exception of 2 protein bars per day. You will make it and do great:)

I have 145 as my goal weight but I want to be around 150ish.. I just want to be in shape and healthy and if that is at 155 then I will be happy there:) Good luck with your pre op diet!

My son has watched "My 600 pound life" and he knows what the procedure is and asked me today as I was watching it if I was nervous or scared with surgery on the 9th I think I am more ready to get this show on the road and ready to start over. I think that I am also excited to know that as this journey continues I can count down my anniversary celebration with my cruise at the 1 year mark:) Woo Hoo!

I am the same about seafood, with the exception of shrimp. I am hoping that I will be able to eat fish when this is over, I mean if I can adjust to these horrid shakes god willing I will find a way to eat fish!

I was looking at the recipes that are in with the instant pot lol.. someone posted one that looked good on here with ricotta cheese end eggs and light cheese.
