Also, let me just add how important getting your water in is! Ive noticed the days I am a little low on my water intake I am not feeling as good and the next day my weight loss isn't as significant.

I posted not too long ago thinking my week 3 stall had broken and I was right! 7 lbs down in the last week and half. It’s so hard to trust this process but we really have to. My weight loss is extremely slow...I expected that being a revision patient and I am totally ok with that. As long as it keeps coming off!

Flintstones, I think I actually broke my stall! It’s highly motivating. I kept telling myself to trust the process and I did.

Keep going @CajunSam it will happen. Try and list some non weight loss positives. You’ve done such a huge thing for your health and happiness. Hey there! The positives definitely far out weigh the negatives! My energy level is pretty much through the roof and even through the stall I am trusting the process! I have increased my water intake and think it helped because I am lower today than the last few days. Waiting on tomorrow to see if the stall is officially broken!

Marc, that’s awesome! Congrats on meeting your first goal! You’ve lost 76 lbs so far and that’s incredible. I am hoping for a stall break very soon!

Has anyone hit the dreaded 3 week stall yet? I have. It’s a HUGE bummer and discouraging but I am trying to remember it’s totally normal. I’ve been stalled for 7 days now and I am 3.5 weeks out.

I was on April 4th, as well. It's crazy to think it's already been a week. According to my nutritionist I can now move on the the full liquids stage. Thin creamed soups, drinkable yogurts, coffee and shakes instead of just broths and other clear liquids. Never thought I would be so happy to drink shakes and creamed soup. I am trying to get creative on reaching my protein goal so I have been researching different soups and ways to add protein. How are you feeling one week post op? I feel GREAT!

Good Luck to anyone that has their surgery today! Welcome to the Losers bench!

I second this, LOL. The only other thing I used was my tablet but I could have done all that on my phone. Bring chapstick! I didnt and my lips stayed so dry!

Thank you so so much! The anesthesia was hard for me to come out of initially, as well. I woke up too early and my breathing tube was still in. Very scary! I am trying to keep moving around today and drinking lots of water. As of now I don't feel any type of hunger. I did make myself eat some sugar free jello earlier and around 1 ish Ill heat up some broth. This no hunger thing is so weird and so new to me! When I had my sleeve surgery I was full fledged hungry just days after surgery. I am hoping it stays this way, LOL! Thank you for the kind words!

I forgot to add that the Doctor told me due to myself having mini gastric bypass they kept me on a IV the whole time replacing the units every six hours. Even then I came home a little lighter than when I left. I'mont complaining.

My big post op report. Today I am 4 days post op revision from VSG to Mini Gastric Bypass. Today I only feel discomfort and no pain at all. In fact, I haven't touched any of the pain medicine I was sent home with. Although, I do have a high tolerance for pain. The biggest issue I had with discomfort was I had a drain paced and it made it nearly impossible for me to get comfortable. I have 3 incisions and one drain "open wound" that should close on it's on. My stomach has bruised pretty bad but all in all it doesn't look so bad. The hardest part of the whole surgery was coming out of anesthesia honestly. I felt perfectly fine after. We even toured Tijuana 2 days post op and were able to walk around the beach and shops with no issues. As far as hunger is concerned...I haven't felt hungry since my surgery at all. It's a very weird thing to me to not feel hungry because before I was always hungry. Well, Head hungry anyway. The thing about being coder after surgery has been absolutely true for me! I have been freezing all day. It's 75 degrees right now (830 pm where I am) and all I want it to bundle up in my husbands thermal PJ's and put a heated blanket on. As they have stated above...BRING CHAPSTICK. That's the only thing I didn't bring that I wish I would have. I have opted to go back to work tomorrow because I have a job where I feel I will have no issues at all. We have filtered water there, a way to heat up broth and I have a mini fridge in my office so thats just about all I need. I do need to remind myself to keep hydrated!

Kate, I am 6 hours out, as well. I haven’t had the first gas pain. They did give me a chewable medicine for gas though. Hopes yours gets better!

Well, as of today I am official POST OP! I had a 10 day liquid diet and lost 12 lbs. Not the best it could have been but not bad. I have impressed about how they don’t wait around waist if time here. I get like I arrived here and the next thing I knew I was in recovery. I got up a little earlier and walked around. I honestly feel fine. A little pain and discomfort at the drain site and mid abdomen but other wise, fine. I haven’t had anything to “eat” in 2 days but I can tell you now I don’t even care. I have no appetite at all. I’m tired after all the traveling and the surgery of course. Honestly the worst part of the whole surgery process was right after surgery while I was in recovery. The nausea and falling in and out of sleep coupled with the normal pain sucked but again...manageable. I am so ready to get home and get my new life started.

Sorry guys, I am the OP and I tried deleting the gofund me comment but it wouldn’t let me do so. I don’t think this is the appropriate place for that. That aside, I leave tomorrow for a Thursday surgery and I am so excited to get my new life started!!

Yes!I I pretty much ate every hour today. Maybe a jello cup or some broth but it made me feel better. My biggest issue is when I get off work. Yesterday I was giving my little one year old twins some goldfish crackers and mindlessly threw some in my mouth. I wasn't even hungry. It came from habit and now I realize how many times a day I mindlessly eat! Going to bring the girls outside to play in the yard as soon as we get home to avoid that.

Day 2 of Liquid Diet. Day 1 went surprisingly well. I did pretty well all day up until around 4:30pm when I started having head hunger. My stomach felt fine so I know it was all in my head. This morning I feel great. I plan on doing the same thing I did yesterday. Alternating Broth, sugar free jello and lots and lots of water with a shake for breakfast and a shake mid afternoon. How s everyone elses diet going?

I did an unofficial pre op start Monday of last week but since I didn’t officially start until tomorrow I didn’t go too hard on myself. Especially this weekend when we celebrated my twins first birthday! I feel ready for this diet. I know it’s going to be hard but I can do this!
