    Headaches

3 months out, some days I feel so off and my head feels so weird I swear it's related to the surgery. Usually I just attribute it to needing more water.... but who knows?
  2. I was sleeved on February 8, 2019 and for the first 2 to 3 weeks I found myself surprised that I was able to consume and tolerate foods so easily. I was always hungry and was literally going insane. I spent the first week at home literals looking up pictures of food because I couldn't stop thinking about it.I forced myself to maintain my calories between 300 to 400 during that time though. Once I gave it time, I found that I wasn't able to consume as much or as quickly. My biggest thing was learning how to control my hunger with water and protein shakes versus reaching for food all the time. Practice the no eating 30 minutes before and 30 minutes after. The stomach acid is real so don't let that fool you. The first week is hell, the second week sucks, but it does get better. It's so early to be discouraged. Just stick to the restrictions and work the surgery. SW 233 / CW 178

    Swimming in a pool

4 weeks! but I did not have any issues with my incisions healing so I would assume that would play a role in it.
  4. I know my current uhc does not have bariatric coverage which is why I did not initially use the insurance to get the sleeve but I’m wondering more about any complications that may come about in the future

    February Sleevers - Help!

    Have you tried measuring yourself?
  6. Hello everyone, I'm just wondering if anyone has input on my situation or has gone through the same thing? I am 7 weeks out. I was sleeved under my Blueshield insurance (I technically have double coverage with Blueshield and UHC). I will be losing my Blueshield insurance at the end of April and I'm afraid if some kind of complication occurs after that my UHC insurance won't cover. Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of this? Thanks in advance!

    February Sleevers - Help!

you've lost 27 pounds in 3 weeks? I don't see the problem! Also I was sleeved on 2/8 (almost 3 weeks before you) and I'm down 35 pounds. I did have a 10 day at the beginning of week 3!

    Diet Restrictions

Thanks! I plan on asking at my follow up on Tuesday. I Just feel like the clear liquid thing is kind of bringing me down and I’ve been doing well thus far. So hopefully I get good news Tuesday. Just curious what everyone else’s restrictions were !
  10. Hello everyone, I was sleeved 2/8/19 and so far it’s going well. The only thing is my surgeons guidelines are a liquid diet for a month and then a puréed diet for a month after that. I am finding myself wanting more than just liquid already and I can’t imagine another 3 weeks of this mostly because I feel like I won’t be able to get enough calories like this. I was just wondering what everyone else’s restrictions were and if a full month of liquid is the normal routine?
  11. Hello, I just had the gastric sleeve about 72 hours ago and because of the pain and nausea I am finding it difficult to get my water intake and my protein intake where I was told it should be. Am I right that I should be focusing more on water? At this point, I feel like I'm failing miserably on both ends. Any advice would help. Thanks everyone.
