I am curious, did anyone’s doctor warn you about gas? I have only found out about this because of research and forums. It seems odd to me since this is a part of the surgery.

I am very similar, I had surgery 2-25 , I have lost 52 pounds since surgery. My doctor said I am right where I should be. -

So far, no. The medicine to prevent problems set my pouch off(they are touchy things). Hoping after the infusion and new meds, I can keep it. At least for now. However, if it has to go, I hope it is this year cause I am close to my out of pocket max on my medical! Sad, we have to think like that but grateful for coverage! -

@Sherribear how long were you nauseous after you stopped taking the Ursodil? I stopped a week ago. Cant even stand the smell of food. The sugar free popsicle even bothered me and that is my go to! Hoping it gets better with the infusion tomorrow. -

I started taking it about two weeks ago (six weeks after surgery). I was taking ursodial! I am waiting on my doctor. She said if i can not tolerate it to stop. She did not suggest an alternative. Hoping the nausea ends soon, I can’t even drink more than 16 oz of water a day . I am not even remotely thinking of eating. -

Has anyone been prescribed medicine to prevent gall stones? I was and it made me nauseous. I have not been able to eat for a week now. If you are taking medicine is it making you sick? -
