When did your weight loss slow down?

I'm about two months out, and I've lost about 52-54 lbs. (Fluctuating a bit). It seems like I'm stalling a bit now, but I know that it'll be broken eventually. If I lose 10 more lbs, I'll be below 300. -
So, I'm 9 weeks out from Gastric Bypass, and I've lost nearly 50 lbs. I can already tell I'm in better shape as I'm able to walk around longer without losing my breath, able to fit in things that were tight on me before, and well, my shirts and work pants are loose. But I've noticed something else. Sitting in my chair at work starts hurting after a while as it feels like the hard surface is digging into my butt. Also, my back will randomly start aching even though it's carrying less around. My mother, who has also had bypass, said that it's likely the body adjusting to the lower weight and the pain shall pass, but still, it's... odd. You'd think the pain would get less as I started weighing less, not more.

I haven't dumped yet... I have had food get stuck. I've had food not agree and come instantly up, but no dumping. I haven't had anything with more than ten grams of sugar in it yet. Cheese, no matter the fat content, doesn't make me dump.

I'm about a month and a half out from my surgery, and I've lost 43 lbs. My scale number on Friday morning said 315 lbs. This morning, it was 317-318. Think this is just normal fluctuation? My diet hasn't changed, and I'm getting in my 60-80 grams of protein a day and all my water. I did try something this weekend that I ordered from the bariatric pal store, the guilt-free brownies that have 22 grams of protein in them per brownie. (Could only eat half a brownie at a time) I still ate under 700 calories per day. Weight gain makes little sense to me at this point unless it's just fluctuation or retaining a bit of water

Definitely getting in all my protein and water. Some days, I think I might have slightly higher sodium intake and retain water. Was 311 this morning. I think I'm on track to be below 300 within a couple weeks.

Nah, the starting weight is my highest weight, from the doctor's visit that got me started on this whole process. I was 360.8 the day of surgery.

Can't really help how I'm wired, but as long as I get at least 3 REM cycles a night, I'm good. I usually get about 6-7 hours of sleep on a weekday, 7-9 on a weekend. -

Well, technically that night snack is about three to four hours before I go to sleep. I'm a bit of a night owl. -
I think all Senior member means is that they have 50 or more posts. But yeah, OP, don't worry about the loss speed. As long as you follow your plan, you'll lose.

I'm about nine weeks out, no real hunger. Like I get a faint feeling in my stomach when I'm thirsty, but not really any sort of real hunger. One thing I've noticed I've started doing at night though is snacking. It's healthy protein-filled snacks, but still a snack. I don't really need to do it, so I really should stop. Though... oddly, the snacking seems to have helped break my stall. -
Well, stall broke. Got down to 312. Except now up to 314 this morning. Fluctuation is weird. Damnit, I just want to get below 300 already.

Anyone else use flinstones vitamins?

My nut said Flintstones Complete 2 times a day, Calcium (500 mg, from Tums first three months, from Calcium Citrate after that) 3 times a day, Vitamin D once a day, with calcium, and Vitamin B12 once a week at 5000 IU dose. -
So, one of the most annoying things about being a WLS patient is the 30 minute rule for fluids. No drinking anything 30 minutes before eating nor 30 minutes after finishing eating. Most of the time, I have a timer to help me keep track of this. I was just wondering if anyone knew the issue if you forget the timer and forget what time you finished eating.

Almost 2 months pos-op, can't keep certain foods down

I realize this is normal, but it doesn't make it any less frustrating. I'm trying to expand what I eat from beyond just Wendy's chili and puree'd chicken salad and minor things like that. I've found fish goes down well, but chicken is kind of hit or miss. I tried chicken paprikash for lunch today. It did not stay down. I'm getting really frustrated at the things that don't stay down because they're good protein foods. My body just rejects them. -
I got bypass and was recommended 4 weeks off from my doctor. I got permission for three because of my desk job.

Trust your surgeon. Also make sure you track everything you eat. Stalls are normal. (I say this as I just came off of one myself.) Do make sure you're walking as much as you can too. -

Hey,it's probably just water retention. You probably had a liver shrinking diet before the surgery, and it's around now that your body is starting to have the liver recover its size. Continue following your diet plan, and you'll end up losing. Which surgery did you have -
I'm 99% certain I have a piece of mostly chewed jerky stuck in my pouch right now. I can't keep liquids down on top of it, and there's a tightness in my chest. How do I help it pass through or come up so that I don't feel like crap?

Food dehydrator, actually. I'm just hoping this bad batch doesn't mean the dehydrator's bad. A replacement one is expensive.

Hey, properly made beef jerky's good for you. About 9-11 g of protein per 1 oz serving, and about 50-70 calories. No carbs, low fat.

Rassin frassin. Used the bathroom when I got home yesterday, weighed 316 afterward. Weighed this morning, 318. Yeah, I think I'm in a stall.

So, my Nutritionist hasn't given me a calorie goal or a minimum or maximum calories to go for. Instead, I just have a calorie goal of 75-85 grams of protein with a minimum protein to hit around 60 as "okay," so long as I target that 75-85 range. This usually ends up with me easily as less than 700 cals per day. According to MyFitnessPal, to lose 2 lbs a week, I should be eating about 2020 calories, so that's kind of a significant difference. Yet somehow, stalls happen. Were you given a calorie goal? Or were you simply given protein goals?
