  1. That's awesome! It's such a good feeling - I'm chasing the "healthy BMI" too - about 25 pounds away I think. Congrats to you, this is NOT an easy thing we're doing!
  2. I've met my goal. I've lost 92lbs (105 since the pre-op diet) but would like to keep going - which was why I was curious if some people are still losing even past the one-year mark. I know we're all different - was just a vague question to get some feedback on how others are doing at one year post-op and to keep my spirits up that it is possible to keep losing : )
  3. I was sleeved 2/20/2019. Nearing the one year mark! Obviously the weight loss has slowed down but I'm curious if anyone is still losing this far out? I started at 273 on the day of surgery and have gotten down to 181 but have been here for a couple months.
  4. Thank you, gradycat. It really does help to know we're not alone. I will dispute the calories in/calories out theory ALL DAY LONG : ) I know I don't eat near as many calories as I naturally burn, not even including the exercising I do. So it really just comes down to what our own bodies are capable of doing and when they choose to burn or store. Everyone is different that's for sure! Congrats on your success by the way - this is not easy!
  5. I am exactly the same. I was sleeved on 2/20. Lost 55lbs pretty quickly and then the brakes went on! I've been stuck and teetering with a 1-2lb loss (and gain) for over a month now. I still follow the rules and mostly do keto foods so it's very frustrating. I feel like this is it - and once I can up my intake to the full 8oz per meal that I'll stop losing altogether and actually start to gain. I too have felt like I should've gone with bypass. Glad to know I'm not alone! Starting weight on surgery date (2/20/2019): 275 4.5 months post-op: 215 Height - 5'7 (female) 42 years young
  6. Thank you for the suggestions and encouragement. P.S. My husband is a meat cutter/butcher as well
  7. I'm not sure if I'm on track or if I'm being too hard on myself so I'm fishing for other people's results I guess you could say. I had VSG on 2/20/2019. I was 273 that morning at the hospital but came home at 279 from fluids (I suppose since it surely wasn't from eating ). Today I am 231. There have been several days of no movement on the scale, which discourages me because I know I'm not eating much so it's frustrating! I have my 3-month post-op appt. on Monday and am hoping to see 229, which would be 44 pounds according to their scales since 2/20/2019. Granted, I've never lost 44 pounds in 3 months so I'm pleased but I'm just curious.

    2 week stall

I feel the same way. I had my surgery on 2/20. That morning I was 272. I came home from the hospital at 279 from the fluids. Today, 19 days post-op, I'm 259. BUT according to my weight loss clinic I'm sure they'll go by the 272 so they'll only see a 17 pound loss in 3 weeks (I have my first post-op appt. this week). 259 is an increase from 2 days ago by the way! How can I gain when I've literally had 500 calories or less a day?! I too feel deflated and like I could eat pizza and chips and at least justify a gain! I think you and I are similar in our numbers and height so I was somewhat pleased to see your post. Thanks for sharing.

Anyone get their sleeve February 2019

Awesome!! I'm about 25lbs down if I go back to Feb. 6th when I started the pre-op. I guess I just hoped for the 2lb loss daily for the first 2 weeks post-op but hey, we're on the "loser's bench!"

Anyone get their sleeve February 2019

Sleeved 2/20. . . 11 pounds for me - not impressed considering I'm only eating the equivalent of 1 yogurt a day! : ) I guess we have to just trust the process and know that it may be a slow loss for some of us, which could be a good thing.

Anyone get their sleeve February 2019

I was sleeved 2/20. The first 6 days were miserable (gas). Finally feeling human again but already stalling on the scale, which is very frustrating considering how little I'm eating. Surgery day weight was 272, came home at 279 thanks to the fluids. Today (and yesterday) I am 262. That just seems so low for just 2 weeks post-op!
