Gallbladder surgery before sleeve surgery
Phoebes04 replied to DietrichWarnick's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had the sleeve on 1/7 and my first gall stone attack last week. Surgeon wants to remove it yesterday but I’m delaying as I have just got my life back 🤦♀️ -
I had sleeve on 7 jan and have been walking since I woke up from the anaesthetic. By the time I saw my surgeon 2 weeks post op, I was doing at least 7000 steps a day and now my average is 10000 a day. If I feel uncomfortable, eaten too fast, drunk water to early after a meal - I walk walk walk 😂👏🏽

1st weigh in visit
Phoebes04 replied to Shanda_2019's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I’m in Australia so things are a bit different here and I went to see my surgeon about the same weight as you but an inch taller 🤭 my surgeon refused to operate while I was a smoker. I wanted the op so badly I ditched my best friend of 33 years and was operated on day 72 smoke free. Please give up now. Just do it. It’s so much safer during surgery, less complications post op and healing also much better which you want so you can get off purées faster 😂 -
What about trying yoghurt, jelly and custard?

January surgeries?!
Phoebes04 replied to jessicaalyssa's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Haha it’s a massive learning curve 😱 I don’t feel it falling into stomach and am on semi-Solids already. I worry that I can ‘eat’ heaps more than a girl I know who had it done a year ago but still no pain or discomfort from overeating. So guessing every stomach is different post op and I’m just being paranoid and that what I’m eating purées to the right size suggested roughly 🤦♀️😩 -
I had my hiatus hernia done at same time and that’s what I tell people 99% of the time also. Only a select group of (non judgemental) friends know the truth. Though my boss is a doctor, so he knows the truth. I was back at work on day 7, but wish I had had the next week off also. I was so tired. Tell your work colleagues it’s none of their business and it’s private and that they should respect that. That’s what I said when people ‘attacked’ me for not telling them I was having surgery. I’m not going to lie, it’s not easy, especially at the start. But if you are like me, I’ve struggled with my weight for over 40years and sooo looking forward to a healthier, happier, leaner version of me evolving this year 🥰 good luck today, you’ve got this 👊🏽👊🏽

January surgeries?!

KayC12019 (not sure how to reply to your message yet🤦♀️) I’m doing great. Struggling with food choices, scared I’m overeating, blocked up, back at work full time, walking 8k steps a day and loving the kgs and cms falling off me 👌🏽 -

New to the page but my surgery was same date as yours 👏🏽👏🏽 -
Breathe.... it’s a massive decision but a wonderful decision to make. Work will still be there when you go back. I was really teary for about 3 days pre-op, not sure I was doing the right thing, worried about the surgery itself, no one to understand my concerns, fears etc. You’ve got this 👊🏽👊🏽 Once you get through the first week, it’s heaps better. I had little pain just fatigue but sounds like you could some extra sleep too 🤭 good luck 😘
