I am now officially half the size I used to be. I never expected to lose this much. -
Did you keep surgery a secret? What did you tell people?
starladustangel replied to FinallyLosingIt20's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I told everyone. I had two coworkers have surgery before me and my mom had surgery 4 months before I did. Because of my coworkers I knew our benefits plan would cover it and short term disability would fully cover my time off. Because of my mom I knew I needed to do it because the issues I was having due to my weight were not going away. I am lucky to work for a company that is supportive of employees having the surgery though. -

GALS who started their journey over 300 lb+<br /> +
starladustangel replied to Frustr8's topic in The Gals' Room
I have only lost 2 pounds since last time I posted. I hit 174 on Easter and have only managed to lose 1 pounds since Easter. I am beyond frustrated. BMI is 29.7 so I am in the overweight category but nothing I do is working to lose. I was eating between 700-800 calories per day and increased to 800-900 which has been hard as I am very restricted still. I have to eat 6 times a day to get 900 calories in. I am getting in 80-100 g of protein on average and less than 50 g of carbs. Most days under 30. Occasionally up to 60. I know I have some loose skin but still. I am happy about what I lost because 142 is a large amount to lose but also feel like a failure for still being overweight. I see other bariatric patients wearing a size 6/small and here I am in a 14/large. -

I am 175 and officially 140 pounds down from my HW (107 lost since my surgery). Wearing size 14 jeans. -
My office closed and we started working from home March 12th. I was 184 that day. I am 175 today. So my weight loss has continued despite quarantine.

Muscle Milk 100 calorie shakes have been a favorite of mine lately. Plain Greek yogurt. Fiber One 90 calorie protein bars. I love these and all the different flavors. Hard boiled eggs

Does anyone here NOT obsess of carbs?
starladustangel replied to AnnieD78's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I watch carbs but am not strict keto and don't obsess over them. My program allows up to 70 g per day. However a lot of high carb foods cause pain and discomfort for me. I can't eat rice or pasta or chips. My stomach will hurt from those and it's not worth it. I also limit bread because it feels uncomfortable in my stomach. I can occasionally eat a slice of pizza and it's fine but a slice of bread is not. -

Currently 186 and wearing a size 16. February was slow for me with only 4.5 pounds lost but I lost 11 pounds in January. It's been hard lately in Facebook groups seeing people who had surgery when I did who are already thin. I don't know if I will ever be thin. -

My mother said she no longer wants to talk or see me anymore.

She sounds toxic and abusive. She's been treating you horribly since you were a little boy. You have a supportive loving wife, your friends and your furbabies. You don't need her. My husband's toxic father and sister are both cut out. His sister is a lot like your mom from what it sounds like: a toxic horrible person who belittles my husband and says the most cruel hateful things she can to him and anything good that happens to him she views as a personal attack. Our lives are better off without both of them. -

I started at 315. Currently fluctuating between 208 and 209. I am stalling I think as I have only lost one pound since Thanksgiving. There is no rhyme or reason behind the stall. It's just happening, I started at a size 26. Am currently an 18. My waist measures at a 16 but my large stomach prevents this -

Anyone with PCOS not lose weight after surgery
starladustangel replied to Ruth9454's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
This was also me before surgery. I did manage to drop 33 pounds before surgery but it took 6 months and half of it was on the liquid diet. I've lost 53 pounds since surgery for a total of 86. I don't lose as fast as other people due to PCOS but it's been steady at 10-12 pounds a month so far. -

I stalled for about a week due to getting my first period in 18 months but it seems like it is going back down again. I hit the 80 pound mark from my highest weight today and have lost 47 since surgery. -
I've tried Enlightened and do half a serving of it. Never thought 1/4 c of ice cream would be enough but it is

HW 315 SW 282 CW 247 Only a few people have noticed my weight loss. I don't really think of myself as being any smaller. I haven't bought new clothes although I have donated things that were so big I just couldn't wear them at all. I will have to soon though. Much of what I own is baggy -

Finally under 250! It's been slower than some people but it's happening. I have a suspected ulcer. My bariatric clinic wants me to be sedated for a scope which I don't have anyone to drive me to the hospital for right now. I am taking medication and there has been an improvement. -

I am 7 weeks post OP and down 27 pounds since the day of surgery (60 pounds lost overall). I am still stuck on mostly soft foods due to vomit when I eat regular foods. I have another follow up next week but may need to have an upper GI if it doesn't get better 😥 -

June 2019 Surgery Siblings!
starladustangel replied to BulletWithButterflyWings's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have my 6 week post op 7/18. It's been rough. I had several weeks of only losing 1 or 2 pounds a week. My medical team wants me losing 10-15 pounds a month. My official weigh in day is Monday but I stepped on the scale today and was down 3 pounds since Monday and 3 pounds a week is what my team says I should be losing so hopefully my plateau is over. I could have moved to regular foods this week but I tried some regular grilled chicken on Monday and threw up so am staying on soft foods a little longer and going to try again Monday. Shredded chicken is fine just not cubes of grilled chicken. I am down 22 pounds since my surgery on 6/3 and I lost 33 pounds in the 6 months pre op so 55 pounds down total. I've gone from size 26 jeans to 22s and 3x/4x tops to 2x/3x tops. I've yoyo dieted between a size 22 and a 26 many times over the years so have a lot of clothes. I kept losing the same 60 pounds over and over so this doesn't feel too big yet as I've dieted to this size before. I can't wait to get down to an 18-20 so I can buy new things.
