Bianca S. replied to Bianca S.'s topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thank you!! I purchased it 3 days ago with amazon prime and it arrived today!! -
Thank you, yes as much as I would like to use the one a day but my surgeon already gave me all the vitamins list I need to get with the daily intakes I will be needing

I have 1 month and 5 days till surgery day, 2 weeks and 2 days till my pre-op testing in the hospital, 4 weeks and 1 day till my pre-op appointment with my surgeon. As days get closer I get exited but also anxious. How do you or did you deal with anxiety before and even after surgery if that makes sense hehe ? Thanks

Oh my gosh!! I know exactly how you feel!! Same happened to me! I’ve posted about it if you want to check it out! Good luck !

Where is everyone from??
Bianca S. replied to Be_pretty_epic's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Concord California (About an hour and a half to an hour depending on traffic from San Francisco) -
Not sure under what forum this would be under so I just posted to this one since I’m pre op and trying to brainstorm. So my question is what hobbies do you or have you taken on since being through or on this process? I’m looking for a new hobby since my old one was baking. I LOVE TO BAKE! But the reason I want to find another and different hobby is because when I bake I tend to eat most of what I bake and give some of it away before I eat it all. I feel like I need to give it up completely because as I’m making what I am making (from scratch) I tend to “taste test it” before putting it in the oven and even after too haha. Please share some of your hobbies! Thanks

What was your moment?
Bianca S. replied to TattooedSeaStar's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
My moment was honestly maybe 2years ago, diet and workout wasn’t working for me so I did my own research on WLS. I didn’t do anything about seeing a surgeon back then because I didn’t know how. Fast forward to November 2018, I went in for an emergency gallbladder removal because I was in excruciating pain. Then here came my one week check up but the surgeon who did the surgery didn’t have an opening for over 2 weeks but she still wanted me to see someone. So they made my appointment and I met with the surgeon and at the end of my follow up he asks “by the way has anyone talked to you about weight loss surgery?” (Now for most people I think would have gotten offended but I didn’t). I told him no but I am interested. Turns out he was a bariatric surgeon. He gave me his card to call to make a consultation appointment and I did, the minute I got home. Dec 5 2018 came and I had my consult and at the end he asked me if I would like to go forward with the process of getting approved by insurance and I said. Got approved May 30th and I will be getting VSG on a August 19th 2019 -

Any August 2019 people out there?
Bianca S. replied to big_ange's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Don’t enjoy too much, if you do I hope you don’t end up like me gaining 15lbs and needing to lose by actually your surgery date at my pre op appointment with my surgeon -
Yes, I use to do looming but then the pegs started to bend and break. Maybe I’ll try a different type :). I have surgery on August 19th :) 45 days away :)

Meant to say all these sound so much fun!

All these so much fun! Maybe I’ll buy myself a bike. Sadly at 22 yrs old I never was taught how to ride but want to learn. Maybe once I’m smaller I’ll have the confidence to learn

I finally get why people dont tell others they had weight loss surgery!
Bianca S. replied to BlueAngelEyes's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
But I do understand how you may have received that as judgement. Like for me I’m telling everyone for them to keep me accountable for my choices of what i choose to eat and family or friend gatherings but I know you probably didn’t ask your family to keep you accountable and just wanted them to know about your procedure you had done. -

When I read your post I didn’t find it as judgement I found it as accountability. Because they know you had a procedure they they they need to keep you accountable for what you eat. There attentions I don’t think we’re to judge you but to help you and help you make good choices in what you choose to eat. -
Oh my gosh thanks! I think for me baking is mainly probably the texture and decorating

I can’t edit not even 1 thing in my notifications settings! I stopped getting any notification maybe about 1-2 months after joining the forums. It’s upsetting

Any August 2019 people out there?
Bianca S. replied to big_ange's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Of course! Glad I caught your post on here. It for sure is upsetting, every 2 weeks I was calling “has my psych evaluation been sent to you guys (my surgeons office) correctly yet” until they told me yes or I got the call saying they are putting in a appeal. I feel like some times you have to be the one nudging them to get it done correctly to show that you really want it and your ready.... don’t let it get you stressed out! I know for me it did and when I’m stressed I eat whatever and since all that happened and till when I received my approval call, I gained 15lbs and now have 12lbs to lose to get back where I was by August 12 (is when I have my Preop appointment/ next time I see my surgeon) -

I know how it feels! I finished all my requirements before February and it took 4 months for them to send in the correct paper work. The first time was that the psych evaluation didn’t say passed or not pass , we had to wait on that and then they finally got it in after 45 day requirement so I had to resubmit for an appeal because my insurance needed it within 45 days but they took longer, after the appeal I get another letter saying they needed the psych evaluation office notes and finally March 30th is when I got the call from my surgeons office that I got approved and later on that week I received the insurance letter that says approved. I originally got a July 8th day but because of my work schedule being already set till mid August I changed my surgery day to August 19th (sleeve) -

At first I was going to track my intake like you in a planner but then I checked out this app and I feel like it would be easier since I already Carry my phone everywhere and feel like I would forget the planner. https://www.baritastic.com/
