I hope she is!!! I know she and "Eggface" were doing LA and Philly but I haven't seen either of them mention Houston and it's not listed in the info on OH either. I'll keep my fingers crossed!

Thanks Cher for putting a great conference together! I think you did a terrific job... especially for your first one. Yes there were some hiccups as you said... the food was what it was, and unfortunately due to hurricane Ike and some other issues some vendors and speakers had to cancel last minute but I'd go again in a heartbeat!!! Mary Jo inspired a group of us to do some unexpected shopping and I have to agree that Dr. Vuong was fabulous and I was so impressed with him!!!! I can't remember when I had so much fun!!! I made some great friends over the weekend that I hope to keep in touch with for a long time! Aside from some things that others did mention I do have one suggestion... In place of the fling Saturday night I think it would be great to organize an outing instead. We had so many people come from out of state that really enjoyed seeing Dallas and doing the "cowboy thing"! I think that if you go to New York or where ever plan a social event in the evening that allows everyone to socialize but see some of the city and skip the hotel event in the evening. I've been wanting a tattoo for the longest time!!! The only thing stopping me is that I really have no idea what I want... seems like everyone has a butterfly... but I do like the dragonfly idea! I told myself when I got to 50lbs I'd do it... well that has come and gone and no tattoo! So I guess I need to make up my mind and go for it!

I'm so excited for our roadtrip!!!!

I'm thinking about going... but honestly I have major anxiety issues about going and not knowing anyone!!!! Oh, btw I'm in Houston!

This sounds fantastic!!! I'll have to give this some serious thought!!!

I had my first fill (2.2cc) in June the day before we left for vacation and I've been fine. My doctor did the barium swallow/xray to make sure I wasn't too tight so I was confident I would be okay.

Okay so tell me everyone.... I am seeing some fantastic weight loss on here and I'm wondering if you are including your preop weight loss?? I am 6 weeks post op today with one fill and have only lost 16lbs.... seeing all your great numbers leaves me alittle discouraged. :thumbup: But congrats to everyone on these great numbers I'm seeing!!!!

Okay so next week I will be in Arizona and want to stop off at Trader Joe's... for those of you that shop there what are the must have's???

I am so frustrated!!!!! I was banded on May 30th and did great the first week as I lost 10lbs. Then I lost nothing the second week.... and I thought well maybe it was just my body balancing out since I was now able to eat within my calorie range and I've been able to get my water in. So now this week I still haven't lost anything. I have started walking 2miles a day hoping that would help boost things but it hasn't. I know it's early on but I was really hoping to be down 15-20lbs when I go for my post op appt. next week. My doctor talked to me about RNY and I said no... now I'm wondering if I made a mistake going with the band. I feel like I'm doing everything right... and I was just so sure the band was the tool I needed. Now I'm not so sure. Just in a postop funk I guess.
