    I am so f'in pissed

I have to agree with you 100% I've been very happily married 19 years. Married when I was 18.What I got for valentines...A wonderful kiss and "I Love you more than Yesterday". Then we went to Costo& looked for things I can eat at the health food store for phase 2. What a great day..just about like any other.I would never probe my husband for "whats wrong" If he is having a bad day ..I'm here if he wants to talk..If not than he'll get over it and life goes on...It has for 19 years. We are a team"equals"I never have to ask him for anything..vice versa.
  2. At least for awhile...discovered Natures Best Zero Carb Isopure ready to drink glass bottles. Thank God !If I had to drink one more milky strawberry or choc. Protein drink I was moving to Yemen. I just received them yesterday YUM! I love the Grape Frost! Now per my DR's order I am spossed to have a Protein Drink that is <130 cal.<5 carbs>15 protein...and a total of 70 protein a day.So I'm kill'in myself with the 2+shakes a day + protein Soup. (also no more than 400-600 calories a day.) Isopure is a whopping 40 gram protein,0 fat,0 carb and 160 cal. in one serving(a little more cal. will have to cut somewhere else)very light, clear, fruity and easy to go down. The Icy orange tasts like Tang...I'm so excited!!! The cheapest place I found:Powershack.net (12 for $28.98) Comes in:Alpine Punch,Apple Melon,Blue Raspberry,Grape Frost,Icy Orange,Mango Peach,Passion Fruit and Pine-Orange-banana Praise The Lord:clap2:

    hair loss...what's up with that!

The same thing happened to me when I was on Atkins. My doctor told me it was from the diet and start taking GNC womens Hair,Skin& Nail Vits...I did and problem sloved...so before I was banded I started taking them again...My banding DR. has a warning in his take home book for us that this(hair loss) can happen..TRY GNC VITS...I get mine at Rite Aid.

    just had lap band

I had my procedure(lapband) Thurs 2/2/06 in Greenbrae. Dr. Feng was my surgeon. I have to say I have had a great experience from start to this point with him as well as his staff and the very pleasent medical staff at Greenbrae. Dr. Feng is very kind and knowledgable he made me very comfortable and explained in detail the procedure to myself and my husband. If you have a choice ...Lapband Associates of San Francisco is wonderful. If you end up having Rita as your nurse she will make your day easier and is very caring. My post op weight 220... goal is 150. not to afraid of a fill and I am able to have it done (by Dr. Feng) in a satellite office 10 min. away from home.:clap2:

    3-week liquid postop course?

Hi Kelli, That was me waiting...when they rolled you in recovery..I was going to say something but I did not want to disturb you. What I am drinking is working for me even with the straw....so I guess to each his own??? I am getting all of my required Protein and about 400 calories a day. Exactly what the doctor and Kristi ordered. I am feeling great..walking,taking showers and sitting in my office taking reservations helps speed the recovery. I have a appt. w/Dr. Feng Fri. of course not for a fill but just a check up. If he gives me the green light after 2 weeks then I will start on pureed foods while still drinking my protein quota and counting calories. If after 3 weeks or so if that agrees with me then I move on to phase 3 and so on. I would stay clear of milkshakes..to much sugar a definate NO NO... I chose whey protein because it gives me the most protein with the least amount of sugar and carbs and its a easily digested protein. I am not a self proclaimed know-it-all on nutrition or I would be at the gym instead of getting a lapband but..when I decited to get a band I did alot of homework..I look at the band as a tool and not a quick fix I have to change my lifestyle BIGTIME. Please call Kristi she might be willing to fax you a meal plan to help you through this tough 2-3 week period. We are in this together and I'll be keeping in close contact w/you!!! My personal E-mail is tpierce98664@yahoo.com. When you feel good maybe take a trip to the coast/redwoods??? I have a beautiful R.V. Resort w/cabins accessable to lots of outdoor activities. Talk Soon, Tina

Protein drinks in first 3 weeks?

Hi Kelli, I had surgery right after you on 2/2 and had the pleasure of meeting your sister and husband in the waiting room. I can give you a sample of what i have been drinking: A.M.: strawberry GNC whey gold mixed in a blender w/soy milk for extra Protein. Lunch: R-Kane Soup (found on line) high in protein. Cream of chicken is the best. Snack:sugar free cherry Jello (jello brand )others are yucky.1 container P.M.: Choc or Van. GNC whey mixed in blender with Water Snack:sugar free popsicle (popsicle brand) I spoke to Kristi regarding "clear" liquids it really means liquid with no chunks or other materials...liquid you can easily sip through a straw. Remember to drink lots of water..once in a while i slip in alittle diet snapple. Good luck to you!!!! Tina
