    Eating & Fullness.

I got my surgery in January in another country. This means I didn't really have too much support after the surgery. The company does provide some, but that's what you get for a bargain price lol I was very strict about measuring food up until 2 weeks ago. I have been focusing on getting more vegetables and tracking my protein, fiber, and carbs. I don't think I'd be able to measure and track for the rest of my life, but of course you have to be diligent and police yourself when you have had enough food which can be hard for some people. I've lost 60 pounds so far.

    Post your daily complaint/gripe.

My daily gripe is I am pretty sure the surgery/restrictive eating is messing with my hormones and my cycle is fooked up. Has any other person had this happen?
  3. I know this isn't exactly the same, but I take Effexor and was told to take it as normal after the surgery. So far, I haven't had any ill effects. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using BariatricPal mobile app

Yes! I totally feel you. I always feel better taking medication with food, but I was unable to do that and I hated it. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using BariatricPal mobile app

I haven't! I might try that because this is truly driving me crazy. Thanks for the tip. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using BariatricPal mobile app

Glad to see my other gripers in solidarity! I cannot find medical tape that I am not allergic to. I need to keep gauze on my big incision right now, but the itchy ring around it is really getting to me! Also I have bad heartburn today lol Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using BariatricPal mobile app

    A little scared

I totally understand you fear. The only surgery I ever had was for my wisdom teeth and that freaked me out. For me, it was listing out all the reasons I wanted to get it done and why it would improve my life. And then you also have to remember whatever pain/uncomfortable feelings you are feeling will not be forever. Im only on wk 2 and I already feel so much better. Sending you love and hugs! Jan 2019 bypass buddies

Hi everyone! I got my surgery on the 16th and on the pureed food stage. Hope everyone is doing well with either their pre-op or post-op diets and recovery! Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using BariatricPal mobile app
  9. I found many posts about incisions but no had had talked about how long they covered them for. I am 8 days out of surgery and my post op instructions say to cover for a week, but my drainage incision still looks pretty open... I got my surgery out of the country so I don't have a doctor that can look at them in person. I will email my surgeon who did the procedure but I wanted some more insight. Thank you.
