I probably wouldn’t either if it wasn’t for my daughter and DIL’s. They all wear them with leggings or skinny jeans and they look so stinkin’ cute !!!

    Recent Surgery Diet Struggle

I had the same issue and mine wasn’t from dumping . I also had it pre op on my liquid diet. Broths went right thru! It slowed down after getting to the soft stage and now back to completely normal. It seems a lot of people have one issue or the other (not going at all). I think whoever mentioned their nurse said that our bodies have been through a lot and are adjusting nailed it. Good luck 🤞🏻

    Recent Surgery Diet Struggle

It’s ok to vent. I know I started feeling better physically and mentally when I could start soft foods. And I know that doesn’t make it any better in the here and now!!  I hope you start feeling better soon 😘

    Hair Loss. Gastric Bypass.

I’m not sure about percentages. I’ve taken biotin for years for my nails and have always heard it will help to prevent hair loss although the more I read the more I wonder. I just read this article https://www.obesityaction.org/community/article-library/weight-loss-surgery-nutrition-and-hair-loss/ My surgeon didn’t put me a multi with iron or an iron supplement but I’m going to talk to him at my next appointment about iron and zinc both

    March 27th sleeper

It’s natural to be nervous and to even 2nd guess your decision as you get closer but don’t let comments on here scare you! Keep in mind those that have had a successful story usually wait until they have a significant loss to recap their journey . Knowing that helps to keep everything in perspective for me. Just a little more than a week !! Exciting times 😎

    When does the pain stop?

Mine looked like a slight dent near my belly button because of swelling around the area. An ice pack helped and sometimes a heating pad felt good as well. I walked with a hunch for more than a week and certain movements like getting up from a laying position felt like a pulled muscle for quite a bit. The pillow or blanket against your tummy is a huge relief. I don’t think I slept comfortably on my side for a month. But if you’re concerned definitely call your surgeons office. Better safe than sorry!

Anxiety at a high - 1 day til surgery

One more sleep??!! Yay!!!! The pain varies from person to person. They ask you repeatedly what’s your level of pain and mine was never over a 6/7. Talk to your anesthesia team and stress how you are prone to nausea . I used to get violently sick after surgeries from nausea but they have come SO far with being able to manage it. Once they give you that relaxing medication you won’t care about anything! Lol! They also gave me an anti nausea patch I wore behind my ear for the first three days. Good luck and keep us updated on your progress 👍🏻

    ❤MARCH 2019 CHALLENGE❤

#17) one way I hold myself back . It used to be my lack of energy. I never wanted to do ANYTHING! It wasn’t depression, just really not physically having the energy. NOW I have energy galore and I wake up every day ready to go! Who knew a healthy diet along with plenty of water and sleep could be so good for you? Just every Dr ever 😂😂😂

    Jan 2019 bypass buddies

Of course you’re welcome! Hi and nice to meet you 👋🏻. I had the sleeve but my DIL has RNY. I do think her recovery time was a lot longer than mine as far as energy. I started getting mine back 3-4 weeks , hers was longer. My surgeon has me taking B12 sublingual every day as well. Hang in there, it will get better and congratulations on almost 50 lbs!! That is amazing 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

    I'm not doing well

Hopefully your sugars are just out of whack because you’re ill. I could always tell on my meter that I was getting sick before I even had any symptoms. And what a sweet granddaughter!

    4 Days Post Op RNY

The weird noises, yes!! Your shiny new toy wants to show off 😂😂😂 The other symptoms sound like classic dumping. It started for me about the 2nd week and I felt exactly like you do as far as being afraid to eat again.  But don’t take my word for it and if it persists call your Dr.  Good luck and I hope you feel better soon
