    Gallbladder issues

I had mine out years ago and the first 6 months were a roller coaster. I was put on a strict zero fat diet for 6 months post op. I can tolerate small amounts now but too much will make me sorry . I would double check with your specialists though. And I’m sorry you’re experiencing this

    Bile after surgery

I hope you get answers Sarah! I’ve never heard of it either. I can only imagine how bad it is based on what GERD feels like (and this definitely sounds worse). Keep us posted !!

    ❤MARCH 2019 CHALLENGE❤

Those are amazing goals! I just want to be healthy enough to enjoy it. I’ve said before how much I love nature so to be able to camp, hike, fish with my husband all sound perfect to me

    Sleeping after VSG?

I slept propped up. Yes, it’s totally normal. I couldn’t stand up straight for over a week. The sipping pain will go away too. It’s all part of the healing process. Hang in there, it WILL get better. This first week is rough
  6. I was on clear liquids for a full week post op and then a full week of full liquids. My dr gave me water and protein goals but assured me I wouldn’t be able to hit those goals for awhile. My dr wasn’t concerned about protein either, just to sip, sip, sip. And I totally get the wanting to eat something. Hang in there!

    Cleaned out the closet today

We moved last year and I did a major purge of clothes that were too small. Now could smack myself . I told myself most would be out of style and I could always buy new but still remembering one awfully cute pair of pants 🤦🏼‍♀️

I'm so frustrated with my GI doctor

What @KCgirl061 said ^^^. I’m not sure if you are self pay but I doubt my insurance would pay for another test so close in time. I’d also be asking my surgeons office to intervene to see what they can do

    23) an untruthful story I tell myself? I guess I’m going to have to give this one some thought. I really do try to nail myself with any bs or negative thinking but also not get into a place where I’m complacent or think I’ve got it all figured out. 🤷🏻‍♀️

    Weight-loss funnies

Maybe not funny ha ha but I chuckle
  15. The zoodles with modified pesto sauce were DELISH!! I didn’t have pine nuts so subbed with pistachio’s. So dang good! The other is turkey meatloaf. So dense and filling! Thought I could do 1/2 only made it to a 1/4. Also gave my daughter and mom a taste of the noodles (they concur !!)Salad plate
  16. Dannon light and fit cherry yogurt, fresh blueberries and chopped pistachios. Well the pistachio’s are more like fine ground. Going to use them in a pesto sauce for some zuchini zoodles later. I’ll let you know how that turns out

    Weight-loss funnies

  18. Congratulations and best of luck on a smooth journey 👍🏻
  19. Did your surgeon give you a script for nausea? You’re probably past the worst of it but if not call and request one. I’m two months out and yes, the first week especially was rough!! I didn’t sleep comfortably for the first few weeks and didn’t get any energy back until 3/4 weeks. Be gentle with yourself, you’ve been through a lot. Just keep getting that water in and protein as you can
  20. Gorgeous both before and after 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

    ❤MARCH 2019 CHALLENGE❤

#22) my biggest victory so far would be to quit smoking 8 years ago. At the time my husband and grown daughter who lives with us both still smoked (since both have quit 🙌🏻) so it forced me to be a lot more diligent. I think it prepared me for my wls journey because my family doesn’t have weight issues. They eat healthy meals but also have all the traditional snacks as well as my mom who I care for. Someone help the person who gets in between her and her Wavy Lays 😂😂😂

    20) one small thing that brings you joy - Nature. It doesn’t matter if it’s a beautiful sunrise or sunset, the birds chirping , seeing deer in our yard. All of it just makes me happy 21) balance - to get exercise in more consistently. I get at least 3 days a week but I know I can do better
  24. The pre op week and the week after are rough physically and mentally. I was so lethargic! I’m not going to lie, the mental struggle has been the hardest part for me. But with each tiny victory it DOES get easier. And you don’t have to think of it as NEVER being able to have pizza again. Once you get to maintenance I’m sure you can enjoy a slice (just not the whole pie!!! 😂) Good luck to all of you. Your future healthy self is going to thank you and be so proud 😘
