Thank you Sheri! I mean I guess this is all relative. It’s not like we are eating tons of food. But compared to when I was eating a month ago I would say my quantity is almost doubled in the last week. Prior to this past week I would get nauseated after I would eat almost every time. I could barely get anything down. Then suddenly out of nowhere maybe I healed? Because now I can eat with no pain and no nausea afterwards. I get full faster than a normal person but it’s very bizarre. So for my recap for the day is two slices of bacon for breakfast, all rolled up bunch of turkey meat for lunch, now I have eaten about 10 shrimp. Very small cocktail shrimp with cocktail sauce. But 10!? I could never have imagined eating 10 shrimp a month ago. I also had a medium sized sugarfree red bull and a few glasses of tea. Maybe the caffeine is amping it up. Probably need to bring on the water water water water water. -

Thank you! I know you are further out from surgery than I... did you notice you could eat more at a point and when did that start to happen? -

My hunger AND capacity are increasing! I ate almost a whole taco the other day. I’m also having much less nausea after eating... I’m really going to have to tighten up the diet to keep losing now... -

I can totally relate to this! My mom died in December , my life has been total chaos ever since. Lots of big life changes and small life changes but everything happening at once. I have lost about half the weight you have. I don’t stay on plan but I am pretty darn active in my day-to-day life. But stress/change, etc have been my biggest struggle. -

By the way Sheri I know you are a fair life milk fan. Have you seen that horrible video that is circulating about animal abuse? This just came out! -

I have had family in town since Saturday so it’s been tough for me to check in. I was just feeling the misery after over eating my hamburger here and thought about logging on. How have you been? -
Are you sure you want to do this?

SAME GUY!!! Has to be - he lectured me too! Said something about long term success... I found it a little irritating but I was nervous about the surgery so I blew it off. I was wondering why an anesthesiologist would even care/be involved with discussing my weight. Not his department. When was your surgery? Maybe he had already been in trouble by the time I was in. -

Lastly, and then I’m done - I’m also in a stall. However, I am not trying. I am not focused on myself, my health or my food intake in any capacity. We close on our house on Monday and I’ve been so overwhelmed with things this month that I haven’t had any time for myself. So I’m stuck at 124 but for God’s sake... it’s 124! I haven’t been this thin in 10 years. Yes, I’m only 5 feet tall and most skinny people would not consider 124 “thin” by their standards. The way I see it is that 124 is my new “high” weight and that makes me happy. It’s not like I’m going to GAIN any weight! Hopefully after this move and one other distraction I have on the horizon I’ll be back in a routine by the 3rd week of June... hopefully. -

Sheri, you are awesome! You are so damn dedicated! I, on the other hand, am just trying to get through it. May was one of the most challenging, busy and stressful months of my adult life. I started a new job as a sales rep and part of my responsibility is to conduct ride along‘s. I had a manager in the car for two full days. That means breakfast, lunch and dinner with the same person. I am very open and talk about my personal life with everyone but I do not have a level of comfortability with this manager; therefore I do not reveal that I had surgery. I was just trying to pretend to be “normal” (eating 3 meals a day). I was pushing food around on my plate and hiding things and napkins to make it look like I was eating. It was so uncomfortable for me!!!! She kept noticing and said “you are only going to have soup?” Or “you are a cheap date!”. Why are people so intrigued with what I’m eating? Even the servers make comments to me. “Oh honey you didn’t eat it all!” “Did you not like the food?” “Do you want a to go box?” Y’all just leave me alone! Haha! -

I just noticed my arms yesterday. Everywhere else on my body is shrinking up but I kind a glimpse of my wings as you called them in the mirror yesterday. Years ago I had liposuction and Had thought about addressing my arms but never did. I think I’ll add it to my plastic surgery wish list. -

Saw this on Facebook and thought I would share. It reminds me of the ricotta bake we all started out with. Looks pretty good I may give it a try. http://dlsh.it/bTL5mNK -

You are my hero on this one. Mark my words when we get moved and some of this noise settles down I am going back to being completely alcohol free. I should not use this as a crutch or an excuse. I drink two glasses of wine every night and on a really stressful day maybe three. I go to bed really early and I’m up by six every day. So it is not usually affecting my life but still needs to be eliminated . -

Thank you for the well wishes and on this- I get it, I totally get it! I know these are just numbers and they should not dictate how we feel about ourselves. That is where I teach my daughters but unfortunately I’m not living it. It is a numbers game with this process and we all live it daily. I have been reluctant to share my success because I started out with such a low BMI but I did make the huge sacrifice to pay cash for this surgery in the United States so there is that. I made a decision that was the right one for me and now I am finally looking and feeling the benefits of it. People have started noticing my weight loss now. Before hand even with 30 pounds of weight loss no one was saying anything. Now it’s like I’ve crossed the threshold and people are starting to openly comment. It is the strangest thing. It feels amazing to have other people notice and I am no longer ashamed to go to the pool (even though I am technically not skinny or healthy or anything you would deem attractive relative to our idealization of perfection) but that is fine by me! I am so excited for everyone here and the successes we’ve had!!! -

Ok y'all - I'm going to brag a little (not that my willpower had ANYTHING to do with this, but...) I'M AT A HEALTHY WEIGHT RANGE!!!!!!!!! Ok so this is unclothed, and in the morning, but still! First time in TEN years for me. Hoping it sticks because sometimes I'll drop down then bounce up and back down a few pounds. But this was my lowest weight yet so I'm celebrating! I was supposed to have a follow up today, but it's almost a 6-hour round trip drive for me to my Dr and I totally forgot! I have SO much going on right now and I'm exhausted most of the time. Started a new job and that has been a huge adjustment because I was only working here and there before. House I'm renting is on the market and I have to show it every day and has to be in pristine condition or I break my lease. End of school year, end of school parties, buying a new house week after next, my daughter made cheer and has practice EVERY day, my son gets his driver's license in the morning, I'm selling some land in TX and we close on that next week... on and on. Always so busy!!! My thing is the wine. When I get stressed or have all this going on, I drink. I'm looking forward to getting moved in June and all of this crap settling down. Hopefully no addition transfer and when I do drink it's not much (It does hit me harder). I think I'd rather shop or gamble than drink but either way... probably not good! -

You are not behind. I lost 6 pounds pre-op, surgery was one day before yours. I just dropped a couple of pounds but I was only at -30. I'm now about -35 so your weight loss isn't off (compared to mine anyway). I was low BMI so I was told it would be a slow loss as well. -

Went out by myself for my birthday on Friday. Was only able to eat the 3 pcs of salmon, 2 sips of wine then bring on the nausea! Oh, well.... I’ll take the trade off for the weight loss. -
