No I feel the same way man. I actually waited longer than a year to get the surgery. I was trying to go through the Va and it’s like they didn’t want me to have the surgery but they rather me take blood pressure pills, continue failed weight loss programs, sleep apnea and etc. it’s been a real trial for me and I’m just thankful there is light at the end of this short tunnel now, but this process had me really upset with the VA man. I’m going to use this tool to get back to myself. When I retired in 2012 the weight just pile on and now I can finally start to get back on track

Start my liquids on the 20th same plan as you. I’m at 290 and my goal is I want to get back to my high school weight in a year that’s my goal brother

Sure has been a long time coming but I’m sure the rewards will make it better. Awesome man I go in at 5:30 am believe start time is 7:00 am. I’m ready man ready to start this journey.

So happy the day has been identified after 6 months I am so ready to have this procedure done. My date is finally scheduled for the 27th at 5:30 am. I am ready to begin my journey and so happy.

I am a happy man this evening just reviewed my approval for surgery. I’m ready to go ASAP!!!

Brothers and Sisters, I’m getting closure to a surgery date and I was wondering how much time should I take off from work? I know surgery affects everyone differently, but was wondering what your different experiences with recovery and the standard time to take off. Any guidance you could give would really be appreciated.

That’s awesome to hear brother and that is really good your surgery has been a success. My last nutritionist visit is on the 20th and I should be getting a surgery date very soon. Did you notice change right away, gradually or a couple months later for you?
